Most high school students should be able to follow all of the math through about 2/3 of the book, and should pick up some new insights along the way as the characters work through their confusion. Pulling the story along nicely for those who already know the math is the same awkward Japanese-style school romance thread between the protagonist and the young ladies around him.
For the more mathematically mature student, the final chapters will prove a good test of your knowledge for anyone at less than basically a full major in math.
As with the last book: highly recommended if you have an interest in math, and especially if you also enjoy Japanese culture.
The conversations are interesting.
