So what is a math game? I would have said it was something which is more fun than a photocopied worksheet. I would have said it was something played by two or more competitors. I would have said that it was almost as much fun to watch as to participate in. I would have said it was a "treat" to end the week or the term. Unfortunately, this book does not contain that sort of material. It's simply 180 photocopiable worksheets of varying quality. Some of them are good ideas, some of them are "bog standard" but really none of them earn the title "game". A sadly disappointing book to be, frankly, avoided. A genuine book of usable classroom games involving maths has yet to be found by this reviewer.
