5.0 out of 5 stars Very good quality 24 Nov. 2015

I've been baking for years but this is the first time I've tried proofing my dough in a lined Banneton. I dusted it well with rye flour before using the first time and proofed my sourdough overnight in the fridge and the next morning it came right out with no problem. Had a nice crust and reasonable rise for sourdough. A nice product. I can see why professionals use these so much. These are sown into the basket and I don't think they're intended to be washed. I got several brushes one stiff and one very soft for cleaning. I find the soft one works well if a little too much flour builds up but otherwise I just leave it in and store it in a 2 and a half gallon zip shut plastic bag after it's completely dry.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not the ugly green in the pics. Nice natural linen. 3 Sept. 2011

These are JUST like the one's King Arthur Flour's Bakers Catalog sold back in the '90s.

Very easy to use: just flour lightly and let your ball of dough do its second rising in the basket, turn out onto a peel and pop onto a heated pizza stone-lined oven, pop into a cloche with cornmeal in the bottom, or onto a sturdy floured cookie sheet. The linen helps wick the moisture away from the "skin" of the dough and makes your crust very professional. (Oh, and slash or snip with kitchen shears a couple of times over the top before putting in the oven, plus throw a 1/4 cup of hot water in the bottom of the oven as you slam the door shut.)

I use the Finest Wheaten Bread recipe from Clayton's Breads of France, with bread flour and an extra long first rise in the fridge, and everyone raves.

From the picture, I thought there would be four baskets -- but there was only one. Kept it anyway.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exactly what I needed. 24 Aug. 2013

I had been making bread for a little while before I bought this. I used to get by using a large bowl and a towel. But it's much better and easier with the right tools.... The bread taste the same. It might be shaped a little better... But really, the great improvement is the cleaning... I don't have to clean a bowl and a dirty towel. Much faster too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lined Bread Basket 30 Jan. 2014

I had seen trendy restaurants serving bread in these baskets and searched high and low until I found it on Amazon. I just started to bake bread with a bread machine, and I wanted a special basket to serve it. Its even prettier than its picture. I am going to buy a few more for gifts.
