From Amazon.co.uk

Taped at the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia on June 28, 2003, Matchbox Twenty's Show depicts a hard-working rock band in its prime and in its element. The full spectacle of Matchbox Twenty's More Than You Think You Are tour comes across, from the band's world-class lights to its lock-tight playing, recorded and mixed for 5.1-channel surround and shot in gloriously film-like high-definition video under the direction of Hamish Hamilton (Madonna, U2, Jennifer Lopez).

As on record, Matchbox Twenty's acute sensitivity to pop dynamics carries the day, showcasing drummer Paul Doucette's propulsive attacks, lead guitarist Kyle Cook's vocals and fretwork, and the soulful belting of lead singer-songwriter Rob Thomas. (The less said of Thomas's occasional piano playing, the better.) The concert itself is free from interview footage and other distractions, and the 45-minute documentary included on disc 2 is candid and focused, revealing the effort required to mount and execute an arena tour.

Dolby Digital 5.1 is the best way to hear the concert, even if you collapse it to stereo, as the Dolby 2.0 tracks are marred by matrixed SRS Circle Surround 5.1 encoding. The presence of the SRS processing is confusing, given the superior Dolby-only sound and the broad household penetration of Dolby-based AV receivers. Alas, there's no DTS surround mix (as advertised in print) or CD-quality PCM stereo mix. --Michael Mikesell

I have been a fan of Matchbox Twenty since I saw them on TFI Friday about 8 years ago, the song that caught was 3AM, since then I have seen them at the Apollo in Manchester bought every album/single I could find as I have always felt that they are at there best when live.
This DVD proves it, the UK for some reason chose to ignore them and go for Maroon 5, who could learn a thing or two from these boys. Every song you have ever enjoyed is here, plus a little banter with crowd and a fantastic behind the scenes look. I would recommend this to anyone that enjoys new music.
And if you know someone with the right equipment get them to turn it into MP3's so you can listen to it on your iPod, it's a must!

On opening the collectible box,you know you are in for something a little special. A look at the lengthy playlist confirms most of the bands best songs are present on one disc, with a second disc featuring multi angle versions of bright lights and soul, as well as an entertaining documentary.
Having seen Rob & the guys in fantastic form in Birmingham last September,I was really looking forward to a full concert captured on dvd. WOW. It was even better than I expected with great picture & sound adding to what is a superb showcase of this bands raw talent. All the energy and Robs charismatic stage presence comes across really well, together with a terrific audience packed venue & great lighting efects giving a thoroughly enjoyable viewing experience.
Highlights? Difficult, because all the songs are excellent. An acoustic version of 'if your gone' with Rob & Kyle Cook on guitar along with 'bright lights', 'unwell' & 'hand me down' show the bands ability to create thought provoking ballads with great guitar work, whilst the rockier 'disease', 'feel' & classics '3AM' & 'real world' are all terrific on stage.
If you are already a fan or simply want an introduction to this truly great band, this will be one purchase you will not regret. Worth much more than its asking price. Highly recommended. This will entertain you many times in the wait for the next album.

Having seen MBX20 twice, both times in small Manchester venues it's kinda nice to see them play to so many people and still pull it off! Having bought the VH1 Storytellers DVD along with this concert show, I was personally disappointed that they didn't play Hang or Kody on either, but this concert DVD includes so many fantastic songs it's hard to quibble. Re the sound quality there is only the one dodgy moment on one song (can't remember which one off top of my head) where Kyle is playing and then all of a sudden the volume trebles and then goes back to how it was! I also found the 2 extra multi-angle songs to be quite jerky when played but I suspect that may be more to do with my DVD player (I'm not very techno-minded!).
The documentary is pretty good and is longer than your average behind-the-scenes; it makes you appreciate all the work that the guys do to put on a show and they all come across as 5 great guys who just love doing what they do.

This really is a great DVD of a great concert from a great band. The picture quality is outstanding and, unlike a couple of other reviews, I noticed nothing wrong with the sound quality.
I saw matchbox twenty at Wembley last Spetember and this DVD really captures the amazing energy that the band exert on stage. As usual, all the songs are played to an extremely high standard and you just get the impression that the band simply love doing what they do.
The second disk is a bonus, especially for this price. The documentary really gets behind the scenes of the "matchbox twenty travelling circus" and is a decent length. Seriously, this DVD is brilliant. Buy it!

This amazing band, with little exposure in the UK and Ireland has a massive following. And this DVD shows why, they are one of the best live bands today.
The documentary is brilliant, you could watch it over and over again.
You need this DVD in your collection trust me

I love Matchbox Twenty and have been blown away by their live performances on several occasions, which is why I bought this DVD with great excitement to be able to relive those experiences.

However I find it totally unwatchable due to the excessive crowd noise throughout. I don't know if it has been added artificially after as one reviewer has suggested, but it overpowers the sound of the music. I watched this DVD through once as soon as it arrived and the screaming etc didn't bother me too much, but the next time I put it on, to listen to Rob's amazing voice while I was doing things around the house, I had to turn it off because the constant background noise was really grating on me.

That was years ago and I've just seen the DVD in my collection and thought I'd like to listen to it, but I didn't get beyond the first song before I couldn't stand it any longer.

I imagine it's maybe been made like that to discourage people from ripping the tracks, surely it can't have been made that badly by accident??

Such a shame because the band really are amazing live and I would go to watch them again any day and continue to buy their music etc, but this DVD won't be going near my player again. There are plenty of good live videos on YouTube for when I need a fix of live mb20. Anyone who likes them should search for a live video of Bright Lights - not a song that I liked initially, but live it just knocked my socks off.
