Top reviews from United Kingdom

I bought one of these back in january to tie in my computer and affiliated peripherals. (Screen(s), Speakers, Keyboard(G19), etc). It worked flawlessly for 7months so it seems I got more luck out of it than many people that have already reviewed it, however it has now stopped working. I can still draw power from all the sockets, but they no longer automatically turn off which defeats the object of buying it in the first place.

Given its apparent short lifecycle I would avoid this item.

As with there fancy slave master one, this one is utter rubbish to, fails and fails again, masterplugs are a joke avoid at all costs, ive come to the conclusion they aint got a clue about 1. reliability. 2. what "remote control" means. save yourself the hassle and only use switched version until some muppets can build a reliable one

I have bought several of these over the years (My actual ones are 8 socket, 2 permenantly on, remote control) I have spent a fortune... Today i rang them as my registration details have disappeared from their site and i cannot log in and i have an issue with one unit. I spoke to them and basically even though i am within my 3 year warranty because it is not a fault through a surge they cant help me... the remote lights up but will not turn the switches on or off!!! I have tried 2 new batteries both from different sources and still nothing... No way of offering a replacement, or how to get one etc,,, just basically tough luck.. I WILL NOT be buying or recommending any more of these as it is a total waste of money and time. I can no longer use the 'in warranty' item (I still have the original receipt and box and instructions) because i cannot get to where i need to turn it on and off hence the remote operation side is needed.. Idiots! Very annoyed.. DO NOT BUY... Awful customer service.. no offer of help at all.. item now defunct.

This is so bad. The 'slave' sockets don't seem to work at all. No instructions so it must be assumed one simply plugs in and uses. Can't now return as box destroyed. Very disappointed indeed.

If I could give this item ZERO stars I would. I bought one of these for about £20 from another supplier, it lasted for about 1 week before the slave sockets failed to power down when the master plug device powers down. I bought a replacement item from yet another supplier this one lasted one month and exactly the same problem. I have to say that I will not buy another Masterplug energy saving anything as they seem to be completely unreliable.
Best advice I can give you is STEER well clear

On my second unit: first one failed after a couple of weeks, second one actually managed two months! I will attempt to use help-line to correct failure if I succeed I will let you all know. My advice use a manual device - turn it off yourself.

Bought this product from elsewhere - should have read the reviews here before buying. My experience same as others. Worked on first cycle then didn't bother afterwards. Reset everything and tried again. Same result. Masterplug should withdraw this product and apologise for putting it on the market as a non-working piece of equipment.
