This is a good book from Victory belt with the usual victory belt quality binding and photo's. i'd give it 4 1/2 stars if amazon would let me. Neil Melanson gives a quick intro about how he became a triangle expert, then breaks down the 3 basic types of triangle he'll be demonstrating. the book is broken into sections regarding the angle the person is in your guard (90, 45, 0 degrees) and he gives a good description of grips, posture breaking and angles throughout the book. the material is high quality and ranges from the wilder old school jits set-ups to tight, mma based setups with modern mma postures. If i have a gripe it's that all chokes are from the guard and half guard position - there's no mounted or side control triangles which I see fairly frequently. I suppose if it works from the guard it'll defo work from the mount so it's no great shakes. a great book overall, and I actually bought the book - not the the slew of 'publisher' 5 stars reviews new books seem receive.

Highly recommended if you want to develop a game around triangles like Neil who was told develop his game around it because of his tall frame it's really a book about many ways to get to the triangle from different positions which can then use these approaches to spark ways to get in to other moves.
