Native of Russia, Veronica Winters / born Grigorashvily / was born in 1976 in Safonovo, Smolensk Region. She has spent her childhood living in Zelenograd, a remote suburb of Moscow known for its electronic industry. Veronica always thought of herself as an artist but with the collapse of the Soviet Union she was forced to pursue a different career and received her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Zelenograd Business College, a joint venture of the Moscow Institute of Electronic Engineering and the University of Tulsa. I bought this book in the Kindle version, and liked it so much that I've now purchased a hard copy. Veronica's explanations are clear, thorough, and very helpful. I am a hobbyist, not a fine artist, but I do have good drawing skills, which are essential to the techniques she teaches. While the title says "learn to draw...", it should perhaps say "learn to colour", for that is what this book is really about. I don't know about the claim to master the techniques in 4 weeks, but I did learn a great deal, and do not hesitate to recommend this book to others. However, the hard copy is probably a better choice as it is easier to refer to while drawing. I have purchased the author's "Flowers" book as well, and would welcome more books from her.

Brilliantly written instructions and very easy to understand. I found this book really useful because it my first attempt with pencil art. The colours of photographs were great and the trouble was my colours seemed quite insipid beside them. I will be using this book for some time because I am really enjoying the experience of working with coloured pencils. Thank you Veronica Winters for writing this book.

The book was okay but not quite what I expected as a first time coloured pencil beginner I did not find it very helpful it certainly was more for a class supervised book
