It is lovely to have found this small cake tin and to be able to enjoy occasional cakes but have fewer calories whilst doing so, which means fewer potential pounds added to the waist because of those second helpings on too many Sunday afternoons!
As far as recipes go I would recommend experimenting with approximately half or just less than the half the usual recipe quantities for cakes, aiming at creating effectively 4 restaurant/cafe size slices (cut crossways like thick bread), as it is relatively quite deep and also cook for 10 minutes less than a given recipe states.
Although it is expensive for the size, being quite small, think extra large pork pie size in the shops. The quality is really excellent, non stick, quality thick steel, it will last for ever. A previous reviewer mentioned sharp edges, there are none on mine anywhere.
I've made a few mini victoria sponges using this and have found that the outer crust/sides will cook well, but it takes absolutely ages to cook through to the middle which means I end up with quite dry cake.
I'd recommend just using two smaller tins and baking cakes one half at a time than doing an all in one tin like this.
