Product Description

Product Description

This Master Class Non-Stick Quick-Release Springform Cake Tin with Loose Base takes the hassle out of baking perfectly formed little sponge and fruit cakes. Made of commercial-grade carbon steel with a reinforced non-stick coating, it’s designed to provide great results again and again.

The cake pan measures 15 cm (6”) across, and 7 cm (3”) deep. This makes it ideal for small sponge and fruit cakes, and it’s also fantastic for baking cheesecakes, or top tiers for wedding cakes.

A Master Class in Quality

Built to be robust enough for daily use, this small springform cake tin is made from commercial-grade 1 mm-thick carbon steel. What’s more, it’s been through a special electroplating process to help reduce corrosion. With proper care, this means no rusting, no flaking and no warping for years – guaranteed.

Quantum II Non-Stick Technology

With a quick-release springform clasp and state-of-the-art Quantum II non-stick coating, it’s easy to remove cakes once they’re baked. These technologies work together to reduce the chance of damaged bakes, or pesky baked-on bits.

Quantum II is designed to outlast all conventional non-stick coatings. To make it even more durable, it’s reinforced with ceramic materials, and the pan is sandblasted to help the non-stick materials adhere to its surface. What’s more, the pan features not one, but two layers of Quantum II!

When it comes to remove your cake, simply pull the springform clasp and your cake will pop out in one perfect piece.

More Features

– Quantum II non-stick coating uses silicone – never PTFE, PFOA or BPA chemicals
– Fridge, freezer and dishwasher safe
– Really easy to clean
– Heat safe up to 220 degrees Celsius (428 degrees Fahrenheit)
– Includes Master Class's 20 year guarantee, as well as a 5 year non-stick guarantee

Finding best quality cake tins is NOT easy. As a Caterer providing food for businesses on a daily basis
baking is very much an integral part of the products we offer to our customers.
Living in North Wales it is not easy to access good shops for the above products.
So I was delighted when they arrived that the quality was just as I expected, & they should last
me for a few years now.

I bought this 6" cake tin as I wanted to make small Christmas cakes for relatives. I'm very pleased with this product as this little tin is heavy duty and excellent non-stick. Well worth the small price. I would highly recommend this product.

Wow!

This pan is far more robust than others I have seen in the past. The spring mechanism works well and the product has a good weight to it. Useful to provide a uniform heat around the entire pan.

It uses a non-toxic non-stick surface, which is always good to see, and comes printed with the size on the side of the pan itself- a nice touch.

Easy to line with paper (although not often required) and no dripping of cake mixture around the base. If you have a particularly liquid mix, I would advise that you stay away from spring-form, although this is able to handle an average batter well, without drips.

We partnered this product with a 20cm ( Master Class Non-Stick Loose Base Spring Form Cake Pan, 20 cm ) and a 25cm ( Master Class Cake Pan, Spring Form Non-Stick 25cm (10") ) tin of the same brand and type, which fit together well to provide a nice nest - very easy to store.

More expensive than alternatives but this product definitely has the quality you should look for if you want a long-lasting pan.

This is a nice 6" non stick cake pan. I have these in different sizes but bought this one for making a raw carrot cake in.

The spring form quickly releases and is great for releasing the cake without damaging it. I have used it in the oven twice and I am very happy with it. Popped in the dishwasher and it came out lovely and clean.

I would just be aware that it is small for an actual cake? Not sure unless you like a very teeny weeny slice of cake, probably great for making a layered cake using this size as the top layer.

These springform pans leak. I did not think they were suppose to. Perhaps it doesn't matter whcih company made them? H.....ll, I don't know. I simply thought that these springform pans were full proof and that butter, or batter, or water, whatever ingrediate, liquid used would not be able to drip down into the oven. worthless as far as I am concerned.

My first cake pan was a Master Class 8 " from 2007. I stumbled upon this brand in a specialty kitchenware store which sold quality equipment. I was lucky to have bought this..it seemed like a sturdy piece. Little did I know there would be such rave reviews for it. The pan has served me well.... and I decided to buy a 6" piece because it would be the perfect size for 2-4 people. This would definitely encourage me to bake more, as I wont' have to feel guilty for baking such a large cake and not being able to finish it. This also makes a perfect gift for small dinner parties with only 4 guests.... and one needn't have too many left overs (if any!).

These pans are solidly constructed, and the non-stick coating appears quite robust. They are quite heavy, so would better suit fruit cakes rather than sponges (indeed, my first attempt at a sponge with this pan turned out badly).

One significant draw-back is that the base isn't flat, it has quite a lip, which means (a) you can't easily separate the cake from the base with a palette knife, and (b) your cakes have a pronounced ridge around the base.
