I first used my new tin for a baked cheesecake (with a biscuit crumb base). The base of the pan has a very pronounced lip which meant that it was impossible to separate the cheesecake from the base by sliding a knife underneath. It was thus served on the base and even then this was not easy as a slice could not easily be served without a risk of damaging the non-stick coating.
The pan may be fine for something like a cake which will easily separate from the base but for things like cheesecake it is hopeless.
The springform lever is easy to use and the pan feels good quality. I was looking for a good quality, non-stick pan with a 20 YEAR GUARANTEE. I know this pan is going to last and I will be able to make a few cakes for the upcoming birthdays.
I am not sure if I was just unlucky with this tin as it seemed a nice weight and I would have been very happy with it had this not happened. I contacted Amazon about my experience and received a prompt refund which I was satisfied with.
