Best in the trilogy

I first owned this when I was a kid, I saw the title 'The Mask Returns' and assumed that it would be a comic sequel to the movie 'The Mask' which I loved as a kid and had never heard of the comics or knew that the film came from comics (it is of course absolutely nothing like the movie). It has been lost for years now and I had to order it when I saw it had become available on amazon, I have since had the first comic as well that this is the second part to (not so much a sequel) which flows perfectly from book to book, the first book doesn't really work without this one. I give it a five star rating and is definitely my favourite of the John Arcudi and Doug Mahnke 'Mask' trilogy. In my opinion the best, highly recommend.

For those with a copy of the metrolight studios interactive comic book, this is a bit disapointing, the story is consistent but somehow short. what i liked about the interactive book, apart of the sound, was that the colours and the general layout were much more old school style, propably hand coloured. more effort in the small details.this one just looks like the colour was added with windows paintbrush, (which i suppose was the leading design software back in 1991!), extremely bright colours, it just loses this bizarre darkness layer of the previos one. fun though.
