MARY JOSLIN was born into an Anglo-Catholic background, and draws her inspiration as an author from the world's heritage of ancient stories, retelling the tales with sincerity and warmth for all children. Her prose is descriptive and leans towards the poetic. She is by nature a thinker, and likes her reader to find as much to read between the lines as in the lines.
Mary's books include Our Father, Saint Nicholas, The Lion Treasury of Angel Stories and The Lion-Day-by-Day Bible which was described by Sister Wendy Beckett as 'interesting to read, delightful to look at and will keep children enthralled.'
Mary listens to Radio 4 and likes gardening. She is concerned about conservation and environmental issues and studied the natural history of Oxfordshire, where she lives.
