Format: Hardcover
I bought the original in 1982 shortly after its publication. I was awed by the photos. Now over three decades later I have bought the beautiful Errata (Books on Books) edition, too. I appreciate the brilliance of this as a photobook even more than I did. It is easier to see how clever and clear-headed this was as a photographic project. Parr worked on it for five years. He had the inspired idea of buying a (Nikon Nikonas 35mm) underwater camera. Using the flash highlighted (literally) the rain and the snow and led to Parr's life-long involvement with flash photography. The photos - all black & white - are just brilliant, some of them quite simply astounding.

There are so many lessons that can be learned from close study of this exceptional photobook.

5.0 out of 5 stars A perfect addition to the "Books on Books" series 18 Aug. 2014

I bought the original in 1982 shortly after its publication. I was awed by the photos.

Now over three decades later I have bought the beautiful Errata (Books on Books) edition, too. It is beautifully produced and the extra essays are really welcome. The book is a sensuous delight. Ideal for close study.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Nice Update 21 Dec. 2014
By Andrew Smith - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover Verified Purchase
Books on books is and interesting retrospective of well known photo books from the past. Bad Weather is my second book on a book. It includes all of the content of the original publication as well as updated "afterword" and a few additional photos and scans of some of Parr's contact sheets, giving you a lot of additional content on top of the original book. I wasn't all too impressed with the original work but the additions were very nice and informative.
