Martin Dewey is at King's College London, where he lectures in Sociolinguistics, Global Englishes, Teacher Education, and provides PhD supervision in areas related to the globalization of English and English language Teaching. His primary research focus is on the use of English as a lingua franca (ELF), particularly exploring its implications for language pedagogy and teacher education. He has written and presented extensively on research in this field. Prior to his current work he was an English language teacher and teacher trainer, working in Italy, Mexico, and UK. He regularly attends language teacher seminars and conferences, and has traveled widely for this purpose.
