This is a great book. I have to say I agree with the whole concept and theory behind this book. Years ago I did Yoga to try and increase my flexability, what I found that many of the poses in Yoga are a slowed and strenghtening version of the kicks and punches for kickboxing. I am sure if more hard style martial artists tried Yoga they would find the same thing.

Book into sections first a full body warm up The Sun Salutation. The different poses are explained, and which parts of the body they work. Also instructions on how to do each pose. The in goes into each into how and which Yoga poses could help strengthen and different aspects of hard style martial arts, such as blocks, throws, and strikes.

This book is much better, more comprehensive, and useful as a martial arts student the Lily Chou's second book the Anatomy of martial arts. As the title says this is a book for people praticing martial arts, i would recomend it to anyone who wants to get better at their chosen art. In the introduction Lily honestly tell all readers that this book's sugestions should be used as a companion to their martial art, as people will not get better at their art if they just pratice Yoga inplace of their martial art completly.

Seems well written with good info but i would like colour pictures thruout the booklet not just on the front and back cover but I will enjoying using the book. The front cover says that you can "fold it flat" yes if you want to damage the spine of the book

The book actually provides a nice range of sequences and poses, not just for martial artists but for any sports person. The groupings are obvious and be picked depending on that you feel needs working on. More targeted than traditional sequences, very helpful.

This book gives a description of how common yoga positions can help your chosen martial art. Generally, its good but one or two positions could do with a clearer description/diagrams on how to perform them.
