In 1962, on a quest to redefine the electric guitar experience by creating a heavier sound, an enterprising drummer called Jim Marshall set about building guitar amps. Over a period of 50 years Marshall collaborated with many great guitarists like Pete Townshend, Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix to revolutionise music forever. While the legendary Marshall brand lives on, it is no longer just about amplifiers. Advanced and hardworking, the Marshall Minor headphones offer a whole listening experience with the same uniquely clear and expressive sound that Marshall remain famous for. With good looks, a compact design and lots of new features incorporated, the Minor in-ear headphones are ready to impress.

A Classic Combination

With their excellent sound quality and robust durability, Marshall Headphones have no need to hide behind flamboyant casing or garish colours. Keeping to the classic Marshall colour scheme the Minor is available in black and gold, white and gold or simple monochrome, pitch black. In addition, distinctive finishing touches have been added across the range that are sure to earn you some envious glances on the street; such as concentric circles on the earbud and the classic Marshall signature on the earbuds and cable clip.

Unbeatable Sound

Looks can be deceiving. Effortlessly packed into a sleek, durable casing the Minor is much more than it seems. Excellent for casual style listening the true powerhouse of sound these headphones are capable of producing will have even the more enthusiastic audiophiles jumping up and down with excitement. Possessing a strong 15.4mm moving coil dynamic speaker with a frequency response of 20Hz - 20kHz, these headphones deliver superb clarity, clean bass and outstanding reproduction, particularly in the mid to high ranges.

Keeping the Music Comfortably in Place

The unique EarClick design of the Minor means that these in-ear headphones are not actually in-ear in the usual regard. Instead they ingeniously hook and secure themselves into position over the ear canal using the ear’s outer structure for a long-wearing level of comfort that cannot be achieved by standard in-ear designs. Leaving the ear canal open, these headphones allow you to remain safely aware of your surroundings, for example when crossing the road, and maintain an overall better sense of balance. The EarClick design makes the Minor a perfect choice for those with busy lifestyles who are constantly on the move.

The EarClick design uses silicone earpads to allow the Minor to be fitted to almost any size ear.

With interchangeable earpads the Minor fits almost all ear sizes. Four different size pads made of silicone material are included which, when fitted, will gradually mould to the shape of your ears. Even when you’re working up a sweat in the gym the adjustable pads will stop the earbuds from slipping out of your ears. Thanks to this clever design, the Minor headphones keep the music comfortably in place.

Contemporary Listening

Intended for continuous everyday use, the Minor is compatible with the latest portable music players including mobile phones. Equipped with an in-line microphone and remote, and using a 3.5mm unprotected two-way standard plug, the headphones are compatible with brands such as Blackberry, iPhone and HTC. A click of the one-button remote allows you to quickly switch between music and an incoming call as well as pausing or skipping tracks. And with a sleek, high-quality fabric cable coating that prevents tangles even in the most cluttered of pockets, bags and drawers, you can simply plug in and go. Ready for modern day living, the Minor headphone range is the perfect companion for fantastically clear audio on the run or at home.

Continuing to push the boundaries of loud into the unknown, Marshall have created headphones to bring stadium experiences home to individual listeners. With an exciting journey ahead the Marshall Minor headphones are in it for the long haul.

Love these headphones, they are the most I have ever paid for a pair and I am not disappointed. The sound is excellent, the design is very good and while they are not noise cancelling (not a bad thing when these are used walking around) they offer a good sound range and crystal clear quality.

I have "weird" ears, very large on the outside, but tiny ear canals. For this reason, I have never been able to find fitting earphones, even the standard apple ones would always fall out as soon as I'd move my head. Headphones over my ears never worked out either: My big ears would never completely fit underneath and the tight squeeze of the headphones would stop the blood flow in the parts of my ears that were peeking out, causing unbearable pain after 15 minutes. The Marshall minors are the first earphones that just fit perfectly. Their smallest bud fits my tiny ear canals and their rather big (for earphones) shape is the first one that actually fills out my large outer ear and therefore sits snuggly and securely. I can even run with them, they won't fall out.

The sound is wonderful! They are not noise cancelling, which I welcomed, as I use them for my commute and like to be aware of my surroundings when in public. However, despite the fact that they are not noise cancelling, they are still noise reducing. I never have to crank up the volume, even on a loud bus. With other headphones I used to max out the volume, even in quiet settings, so this is a welcome change. The sound is nice and full, no cracking.

I love how the cable is coated with textile. This prevents the most annoying tangles and staining. Also it feels nicer in your hands than the normal rubber.

One downside though, is a fault with the big round golden metal on the backs. So far I've had two pairs of Marshall minors, who both lost one of the golden metal discs within a few weeks. It's glued on (you can see the residue of the hard glue), but it seems that under certain conditions this glue becomes weak and causes the golden metal discs to fall out.

The most painful pair of earphones I've ever had.

I love Marshall, I have a pair of Majors which were great sounding, but I had to stop using them as they were painful to wear also. So I got these thinking in ear would help (due to wearing glasses, headphones usually pinch my ear against my glasses).

The way they clip inside your ear is great, the small interchangeable nubs are very comfortable and easy to swap out. Some people even need to use one size different on one ear due to non symmetrical ears.

The problem is with the lower half of the earphone. Where the speakers are located the rubberised plastic is just too hard. All along the bottom of the earphone is a solid plastic which feels very premium, but it so hard it leaves my ears red raw.

When they're in they're pretty comfortable, but when you start moving them or taking them out of your ear the incredible pain these things leave in my ears is horrible. My ears are left visibly red, sore and with a horrible sharp pain in them after wearing these for longer than a few minutes.

Sound wise they're great, a little tinny at times & could do with a tad more bass. Materials are top quality and they feel premium. But they should have used a more malleable material for the main section of the earphone.

I love these headphones so much I bought the Pitch Black & the Black & Gold. They are great. Sadly the only design flaw is the shirt clip which has broken on both. I sent an email to Marshall and to be fair they posted a replacement but that broke too. So in 2 months thats now 3 clips broke. Marshall, you have a great product but your clips have a design fault! :(

The sound quality that you get from the Marshall Minor Headphones is excellent (obviously not matching up to higher end headphones) but at this price point I don't know if you could find a better sound. The fit, at first seems rather uncomfortable; however, providing you have the right size ear pads fitted and break them in a little they are easily the most comfortable earphones I have ever used. The braided wire is the only way headphones should be made! These are my first pair with this and I don't think I could ever go back, they feel so much more durable.

These headphones are pretty much the perfect headphones except the left headphone began to crackle and eventually stop working totally! They do have a one year warranty on these and Amazon replaced them amazingly quick!

5* for Amazon replacing the 4* Marshall Headphones.

I love these Marshall headphones. The sound is very good, not too bass heavy which makes them ideal for guitar bands (unsurprisingly considering who makes them!)
I have real problems with in ear headphones always slipping out of my ears, especially when I'm down the gym or running. However, while these feel larger and possibly a bit clunkier in your ear when you first use them, the 'wing' design holds them securely in place and provides an excellent fit that cancels out most background noise. The lead is also really flexible (like string!) and cancels out sound which is another issue I've had with some designs being really noisy every time the wire gets knocked.
Great headphones, good value for money and i am on my second pair after an accident with my first!
