I absolutely loved the previous 3 books in the serious, so I had high expectations for this. I have to admit I did find it a touch slow burning at first, but once it hit 40% and we saw some serious action and character development...WOW! I didn't put it down.

There's more to Sawyer than what we see on the surface and he's stolen Michael's place as my favourite man. He's unbelievably sexy, dominant and protective but he's far from perfect and my heart went out to him. Juliette is the Conte sibling who has been difficult to read; she comes across as the determined guarded businesswoman, but she's complex and needs someone to understand her, coax her out of her shell and unleash the passionate Italian lady that is underneath. Neither believe in love, let alone marriage...

It's full of tension, passion, and is touching with moments that pull on your heartstrings balanced with those that make you smile and laugh. And when the steamy content is unleashed, it's page-burning. I fell in love with both Sawyer and Juliette, I loved seeing how the lives of Alexa, Nick, Michael, Maggie, Carina and Max have evolved and Mama Conte is as wonderful, bossy and lovingly-scheming as ever.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend (although I have to question if this is the finale...I'd love to see Wolfe have his turn)

From niccis book blog

I loved this book, we meet the delectable Sawyer he is deep, dark, intense, dominant, with a past you wouldnt wish on your worst enemy.
His childhood is horrific, and would screw up the strongest of people, but Sawyer has made something of himself.
He is protective of Wolfe and later Julietta. He has never known love, and believes that he dosent deserve it anyway.

Julietta is a very strong willed business woman, but finds that its hard to find a man that understands what she needs, who she is, she's very complex. Deeply hidden within her self there is a passionate, feisty Italian but she doesnt know how to free her inner self.

The heat between Sawyer and Julietta is volcanic, there's tension, passion and its down right sexy!
The sex scenes are explosive and intensely erotic. This book will pull at your heart strings with sadness, then have you smiling it has the full range.
Mama Conte is a hoot, scheming is her middle name! shes lovingly bossy, she's just what you would imagine a Italian mama to be like.

This book has such a great warmness weaved throughout the family.
I totally fell in love with Sawyer, but Wolfe is a very close second, i would love to read his story!

The Marriage Merger Jennifer Probst.

ARC supplied by Netgalley.
I'd read and enjoyed The Marriage Trap, one of the sister books to this one so was pleased to get the chance to review this novel. Jennifer writes romance that has a thorough back story, and that's what I enjoy. Not just a romance, but a tale that I can get lost in for a few hours.
Mama Conte is a formidable character, and I recalled her vividly from the Marriage Trap. Typical Italian Mama where family is all important, her children have been brought up with respect for their parents, and Mama uses that to try to get their lives sorted, she thinks she knows what best for them. As it happens she does, but her interference creates some heartbreak before the happy endings, and that's not what she intended. Julietta is a great lady, tough and striving for success she feels she's always had to prove herself in the family business she runs. Business is still considered a Mans' World and in Italy that's a certainty, so she's had to fight off those who think as a woman she can't command respect, and her long hours and hard work have left little time for a social life. The few boyfriends she's had haven't been a success and she's resigned herself to concentrating on her career. Sawyer, friend of the family, wants her bakery to be exclusive in his new luxury hotel chain. Its a great move, and she considers it carefully, wanting the deal but not wanting to relinquish any control. She's surprised by how she feels when she sees him, not expecting any man to have the effect of making her lose concentration, and feel so drawn to him. Sawyer is stunned by how attracted to her he is, but like her he isn't in the market for a relationship either.

I loved every part of it. As the other books it was beautifully written, sexy, funny and emotional. I love the Conte family and all their dramas and how it all comes together. I hope there's more as I'm sure the book of spells will find it's way into another girl in need of true love.

I forgot how much I love Jennifer Probst's writing style; within a few pages you're hooked. I enjoyed the first 3 parts of this saga (Maggie's story the least), and this one tied up the series nicely. I found Sawyer to be a little wordy, some of his dirty talk was unrealistic and I couldn't imagine a man being so verbose IRL. Julietta seemed to get over her sexual problems too easily and without much afterthought, which was surprising as it had been a huge issue in her life. I do love the Italian sense of family in these stories, but Mama Conte does come across as a little unbelievable at times. I was half expecting it to be revealed that she was some kind of mystic who wrote the spellbook! It might not have been the strongest book of the series, I did feel for Sawyer and wish Wolfe had been more elaborated on, but I mostly just enjoy Jennifer's writing and will be keeping an eye on her future works.
