Markus has two decades experience in global financial markets and frequently holds lectures on Risk management & Banking at GCU London.
He has been acting as credit rating expert to the World Bank, is an advisor to the European Commission and currently engaged in talks with the IMF focussing on developing nations’ exchanges.
Most recently, he conducted forensic investigations of an Unauthorised Trading incident. In early 2012, he built an Operational Performance and Credit Scoring system for the World Bank and a CRA data portal pilot for the EC.
Until late 2011 he was leading the Rapid Risk Solutions team of a major UK banking group, after having established and managed the firm’s Performance analytics team overseeing a SF bond portfolio totalling USD105bn.
Not only a passionate author, Markus is also reviewer/editor of six CISI workbooks and is a long-standing committee member of both, its Risk and Financial Technology forums.
