Mark G. Butcher was born in Portsmouth. Legendary boxing scribe and Hall Of Fame inductee Harry Mullan gave him a writer's job at the world's oldest sports magazine Boxing News and Mark subsequently worked in all corners of the boxing industry covering fights from London to Las Vegas.
He started performing poetry in smoky London nightspots leading to the publication of his first book 'A Bean Called Hope In A Tin Full Of Madness' in 1999. His existential horror novel 'Players' Restaurant' was published in 2013. A short story 'Gotcha!' - featuring the return of a zombified Margaret Thatcher - appeared in the 2013 anthology 'Disrupted Worlds'.
Mark currently resides in London.
