book was every bit as enjoyable as the tv offering ... I could not put it down, but had to to save some for further
enjoyment at a later time.
If you like Mario Lanza, this is a very good biography. Sadly, Mario is often maligned by his detractors but I believe that when he was at his best, he had the greatest tenor voice on the planet and I think this author and friend thought likewise. He has probably edited out many of the down-sides to Lanza's life but for a short time Mario was a phenomenon and it is good for someone to major on the positives. Books often do not hold my interest for long but I could not put this one down. I read it from cover to cover on a holiday beach and it was great.
