But could she act? I highly recommend that any potential reader see as many of her 30 films as possible as a companion to this book. Some remarkable copies are available in blue ray, it is a joy to see them. Actress certainly; Oscar winner maybe; typecast definitely. Marilyn was a troubled person, suffering from insomnia, sever headaches, and crippling periods. Her numerous affairs with the rich and famous are exposed in this book. But she always went back to DiMaggio On record are her lax timekeeping, and poor memory for her lines, so frustrating for the likes of Sir Laurence Olivier. She was addicted to sleeping pills which, in spite of contrary opinion, probably caused her death. Read this book, you will not be disappointed.
