These lives live up to our expectations from the Exilon world and the author's incredible skill at creating a vivid credible world of characters.
You need to read both to get a full picture of one event and how it impacts on everyone's lives.
The augmentation program had such an impact we can only start to fully explore this as we join both on journeys to and from Earth.
If you love the series these are a must read as these add to our understanding of the impact the changes have on ordinary people.
I was given a free copy of Marcus by the author for my fair and honest review.

Regarding Marcus, the more I read about him the more I found a strong personal dislike for the character. That being the case, learning how he grew up in a brutal society where "dog literally ate dog" and survival of the fittest one can understand if not embrace how and why individuals grow up to be the way they are! Really enjoyed the ending which you should read and decide for yourself if the end justifies the means.
This short was given to me by the author however I happily chose to write this review of my own volition.
A great work of fiction! Love Eliza Green's writing!!

After finishing Marcus I wondered if reading Isobel and Marcus before Quantum Silence would work just as well, because the individual pieces of Isobel and Marcus' stories could be connected to the more general picture and placed in the context of Quantum Silence. In the end I think you should follow the suggested reading order (read Quantum Silence first, then Isobel and then Marcus) because there are some things that advance the story sequentially if read in that order.
