I'm a design journalist and entrepreneur and the founder and editor-in-chief of online architecture and design magazine Dezeen (www.dezeen.com).
One of the world’s most popular and influential design websites, Dezeen gets over a million unique visits every month and was named as one of the 100 most important forces in global design by both Time magazine and AD magazine.
Previously I was launch editor of international architecture and design magazine Icon, which I edited from 2003 to 2006. Before that I worked for and on a variety of publications including The Guardian, Wallpaper*, Blueprint, The Independent, Building Magazine and Building Design.
I'm the author of the best-selling book Twenty-First Century Design, first published in 2006 by Carlton Books. The first edition sold out and was reissued in June 2009. My second book, Green Design, was published in March 2009 by Carlton Books.
I edited and wrote much of Dezeen Book of Ideas, a compilation of over 100 of the most original and inspiring designs from www.dezeen.com, which was published in September 2011.
My television experience includes Profiles: Philippe Starck, which I wrote and presented for BBC4 in 2003, and numerous on-screen contributor roles in documentary series including Home (BBC2, 206) and The National Trust (Channel 4, 2004).
