Marc Allum is a freelance art and antiques writer, broadcaster, consultant and lecturer based in Wiltshire. He has been a miscellaneous specialist on the BBC Antiques Roadshow since 1998 and has appeared on various other television and radio programmes. Marc spent 16 years as a London-based auctioneer and has written and contributed to numerous books. He writes regularly for magazines and pens monthly columns in Period Living Magazine, Antique Collecting Magazine and Wiltshire Life. He also has a passion for playing the bass guitar and tinkering with large engines!
Marc's new book, 'Antiques Roadshow - 40 Years of Great Finds' co-authored with Paul Atterbury, is a celebration of 40 years, charting one of the UK's favourite and most enduring shows. Marc is an ARS veteran of 20 years and he will be travelling the country doing a series of signings lectures and talks about his personal and eclectic experiences in the world of art, antiques and television.
