I have only started to read this book and I am very disappointed that I bought it. I wouldn't normally leave a bad review, would just not bother, but the English and grammar in the book is so bad that I feel it merits some note for others. I did see this being commented on in other peoples reviews so I did get fair warning but with the high rating, I figured it couldn't be that bad ... it is. It might be possible to try and read it and just ignore the spelling and grammar problems but I am personally finding that difficult to do. It also doesn't set a great tone to actually take heed of any information in the book. Seems odd that if someone went to all the trouble of writing a book, they would not get the grammar and use of language checked before releasing it.

This is a good book for anyone wanting to get an initial grasp of the PMO Lifecycle. The charts and steps were particulalry useful in establishing a road map for our start-up PMO.

Content-wise this is a pretty good and practical book, with lots of useful checklists and process diagrams. It's written in occasionally very strange English however. I thought at first that it might have been translated from a foreign language, then I wondered if it hadn't been properly proof read. Now I'm not sure. Don't let this put you off though: the design of the book is such that you can absorb the key information during a skim read.

Has some useful advice, but a bit academic at times because the author quotes others continuously, sometimes, it seems, just to fill up pages. It could have done with some proofreading by a native English speaker as well; there are "international" business English grammar mistakes on just about every page, which, at times, detracted from the content.
