I am writing this review to say thanks for the free e-books. I haven't read them all yet, but think it's great to have them and are able to dip into them. I will be doing an NVQ soon so will hopefully find the books useful for that. I work in a GP's surgery and may one day consider trying out for a Medical Secretary position there.
This book has helped me realize that there is much more to stress than you think, but the book helps you understand that it is up to you to determine how to handle the different types of stress you experience. It challenges you with many exercises to learn and practice, in preparation to tackle your stress.
Controlling stress is vital to maintaining mental health and managing the work/life balance. Understanding how operating outside one's comfort zone affects you, and by (quoting from the book) understanding your personal stress tolerance levels, and recognizing the symptoms of excessive stress, it's possible to develop strategies to help you manage stress. By learning and practicing these strategies, it's possible to live the life you desire and improve your quality of life.
I have just read this excellent book and find this to be a fantastic tool when teaching stress management to others but I've also picked up a few tips to manage my own stress better too!! Keep up the good work!
