The need for time management, in our every day work is increasing year by year. In his studies on the work of managers, business scholar Henry Mintzberg tells us, "Study after study has shown that managers work at an unrelenting pace, that their activities are characterized by brevity, variety, and discontinuity, and they are strongly orientated to action and dislike reflective activities" This book will help you make the most of your time and increase your personal productivity and effectiveness.
In a previous management development role. I have designed and run 30+ time management programmes/workshops, for c350-400 managers. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend this book.
Alongside this book the following is worth considering:
Simply Effective - How to cut through complexity in your organization and get things done. By Ron Ashenas, Harvard Business Press, pub 2010.
The Harvard Business Review has some excellent material in relation to this topic eg;
* Stop wasting valuble time. HBR Sept 2004.
Companies routinely squander their most resource, the time of their top executives. This article covers seven techniques that will help your management team make better and faster decisions.
* Death by information overload. HBR Sept 2009.
This presents new research and techniques to deal with this problem.
Stan Felstead - Interchange Resources - UK.
The first chapters of the book teach you how to structure work, be honest about your "weak" time schedule and create an effective structure. After I followed the advice, even after one day I saw some improvements and realized where I'm wasting time. However you have to maintain what you're doing and improve it over time (months, years, etc) to achieve your goal.
In the last chapters the book links the office time management to your personal life, giving examples on work-life balance; which is evenly important.
Overall this book made me feel more comfortable and assured about how I split my time and how I learn to say "No" to things that waste my time. After all we live once and I believe our time should be directed by ourselves and not by distractions from third parties.
I can highly recommend this book, it doesn't take too much time to read and is worth a lot if you are committed to your goal. Make sure you follow the time keeping exercises as they are the key to reflecting on your weaknesses.

Cons: Largely workplace-focused, relatively standard advice, but is more a series of tips -- it lacks an overall philosophy or system compared with widely known books like David Allen's Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity or JD Meier's Getting Results the Agile Way: A Personal Results System for Work and Life.
Conclusion: A decent introduction to time management if you want to get the usual doctrine and are focused on applying it at work, but if you are interested in a more holistic or comprehensive system there are better titles.
It's actually hard to review this book because it contains everything one would expect in a business book about time management - logging your time, scheduling it, prioritizing, delegating, dealing with time wasters.
I particularly liked the sections about time robbers and travel because I read the book on a plane!
