I am in the final stages of an MBA and toy with the idea of having the option of becoming a consultant in the future, so I have bought many books about management and consultancy. What I like about this book is that it reminds me, in a subtle not in your face way, of many of the topics which I covered throughout the MBA, with a few nuggets for my current dissertation, is written in lay-mans language and refers to contemporary sources in case there are any subject areas which you want to find out more information. Fantastic book - I think I will be referring to this and future editions for years to come.

This book gives a solid framework to the aspiring consultant, even if they know nothing about it. Real world examples are given at the end of eadh chapter which allows one to exercise what he has learned and its application in the real world. Techniques for analysis & soft skills are given to enhance even the experienced consultant's career. I'd recommend this book be part of any course in consulting, especially for those starting out.

For the upcoming summer term 2013 I am teaching a new course "Planning and Managing of Consulting Projects" (as part of the Master Program "International Management") and I have been looking for the right literature for a long time until I found your book "Management Consulting". Based on more than 10 years of consulting experience (Arthur Andersen, A.T.Kearney) I find this book just perfect for teaching purposes!

Seems to contain all the needed literature for consultancy courses, that appears in a plethora of other books, but is also succinct and good as a general overview of the subject; It is rather a complete textbook.
