I’m not sure what the plot to the story was meant to be because other than characters saying one thing and doing another (their conversations were unnatural and contradictory), not much happens. I’m sad to say that I was bored and started skimming. They get an HEA but the whole thing is anti-climactic. I’m sorry to say that this just didn’t work for me and if there was a point, then I missed it completely.

3.5*s rounded up
I am a big fan of sports romances, so was looking forward to this new story. I have also read many of Ms Slayer's books and enjoyed them. SO I was very pleased to get a chance to read and review this book.
The quantity of sport was not excessive, but it was interesting to be looking at the lesser roles and seeing it from the college perspective - rather than the often used QB. I did like Allan, and could only feel for Tyler who was in a horrible situation. Things between them developed very swiftly, and whilst I recognised that it was the end of their time at college, so things would move quickly, but I am not a big fan of insta-love, so I was at a disadvantage here.
This was a cute, quick read with an HEA.

This story is different. They talk about football but not really playing, just the teammates. I kind of felt let down by this book. I was so excited when I read the blurb, though it just fell short. The pace was ok, and I really loved the plot premise. I felt it was relatively over quickly, but that it was an overall ok read.
I did, however, love Allan. He was a strong and confident young man, knew what he wanted and he wanted Tyler. I think he is exactly what Tyler needed. Tyler is wishy-washy to me. Tyler is in an abusive relationship with teammate Blake. Blake is an ass and hits him after a game. Finally, Allen then comes to his defense. That is the night of the first date between Allen and Tyler.
To me, there was just no build up. It was an instant love. Something is missing. I wanted more. Now don’t get me wrong I love those instant loves, however, in the right cases. There was nothing here to indicate to me, to believe that it was underlying and they had a connection. They never even spoke much. Tyler has very low self-esteem but on the field, he is a beast. It was just a bit all over the place.
Even though I did not love this book I will read more by this author.
