First of all I love Matt so hard and I think we could all learn a few things from him
- eff what anyone thinks.
-love whoever the eff you want.
- and be yourself completely with no effing regret or apologies.

"Labels should be for products, not people."

This is the third book in the series and is Matt and Alex's beautiful friends to lovers story. I read book one, skipped book 2 (I LOOOVE Nicola's writing, I'm just not sure how I'd be with the whole story line. I'm building up to it lol!!) and went straight to book 3. They're all new couples but interconnect so I'd recommend reading all three in order because I felt I was missing out on little details a bit. Alex and Matt are best friends and Alex has always been aware of his attraction towards his best friend but for Matt these feelings are new for him and he has to deal with that. Their friendship is really lovely and their development into lovers territory is so cute and heart warming and it's Matt we're talking about so there's plenty of humor of course.

"Where can I buy a picnic?!
"Um... pretty sure you make a picnic."
"P and J sandwiches are he height of my culinary skills."

And

"Congratulations! You've officially converted me. I'm joining your gay cult."
"You're f-ing with me, right?"
"No, actually I'm f&ing Alex."
"Since when? Why? How?"
"I can draw you a diagram if you'd like."
"Mate, I never saw that one coming."
"If you'd been ten minutes later you might have."

Oh, Matt lol!!!

I loved Matt. Loved. Loved. Loved him. In some reviews I've read it's mentioned he's immature like it's a bad thing!! And its totally not!

A well deserved 5 A-FREAKING-MAZING stars, 'cause let's face Matt's just that great ;)
Matt the self proclaimed sex-aholic who, where some people worry where their next meal will be coming from, worries where his next lay will be coming from. His best friend, Alex is gay and nothing Matt does shocks him anymore. He's in love with Matt but Matt can't see this and is straighter than a ruler, or so he thinks. A few things happen which trigger Matt's true feelings to surface and, when a fall out leads to them not talking for a while this just cements his feelings all the more for how he feels about Alex. This story was soooooooooo emotional at times and i really felt sorry for Matt but was proud of how he dealt with certain things which he found out about Alex, especially with how immature he was at the beginning of the book. He definitely grew up A LOT throughout the story and i think Nicola did an amazing job covering Alex's "news". Well done !!! Beautiful story, amazing characters, absolutely loved it !!!

Wow, wow, wow, OMG…… I could go on like this for the whole review! This book is truly amazing, and I am so glad that I have read it. It is has to be the best book I have read this year (and I have read loads). Reading this book, I have laughed or rather howled with laughter and I had tears in my eyes at parts too.

Matt is a total slut, and he would agree with me! What you saw if what you got – he said what he thought, often not engaging his brain to mouth filter! I was honestly cringing at some of the things he was saying, mostly due to where he was at the time he said them! Matt has no idea what to do with his life, even after the band parted ways, he seemed to continue the same thing…. Women and alcohol – and always the alcohol to excess.

Alex has always loved Matt, but due to his biggest secret, he has decided his love will be unrequited. He will always be there for Matt, and when the place where Alex works comes up for sale, they decide to embark on a new adventure together as owner and manager of a gay club, which they call Kaleidoscope. They seem to become closer, but when Matt seems to want more from Alex, he runs as fast as he can without any explanation for Matt.

Then Nicola completely excels herself with how she writes when you find out Alex’s secret. It is an essential part of the story, so I am not going to reveal on this review what it is, but this is the first book I have ever read where the subject is treated with such sensitivity, but is also so informative. To me this showed that Nicola had not just added this into the story on a whim, but that she had researched into it thoroughly, to ensure the facts were correct.

Have you ever encounter a book that you didn't just read...you felt? Thats what this book was for me. I have loved this series so much but I have to admit I didn't think they could get any better....well damn, Nicola proved me wrong! Each book has just gotten better and better, to the point that this one made me sad to stop reading.
There was everything in it, it was full of mixed emotions, drama and soul searching. I loved that Matt never also the essence of who he was no matter what he went through, he became a better man but he was always just Matt. Alex was just the kind of man that everyone needs. Hot, sexy, loving and after a good kick up the a**e, open to being happy. I felt every single thing that the guys went through together, from the highest highs to the lows that broke my heart. I felt I lived the story with them. Nicola has the style of writing that just drags you in and doesn't let go until the last word, leaving you sad that the book is finished!

I loved this book....loved loved loved!!!!
