This book had me laughing from the words douche canoe. Paisley and channing are good for eachother in the book, so it was amazing to read their story progress.
The secondary characters in this book are great aswell. Beebee is soo sweet, rachel could quite easily be a younger sister, royal is your protective brother.
I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be buying the next one when that comes out.
This is where the story got a little boring for me. In comes a good looking guy in the form of Channing. He and Paisley take an instant dislike to each other, yet we all know they will end up together in the end.
As the story goes on it seems to go too quickly, and is a bit unrealistic at times. The way both Paisley and Channing seem to go off the rails at times just doesn't ring true a lot to me.
There were also quite a lot of grammar and spelling issues throughout the book which, although it didn't ruin the story, certainly detracted from it for me.
Don't get me wrong, the story will appeal to others more than it did me, as other reviews definitely show. Unfortunately this just wasn't a story which drew me in as much as others I have read.
The endings a cliffhanger, and I won't lie, it does make me interested in reading the next book. But all in all this book was a little disappointing to me.
Also, this needs a good re-edit. Missing commas, misspellings, missing words from a sentence, the wrong word used sometimes. Just things that caught my attention or caused me to read a sentence again.
I do think the author had something interesting going in the beginning. And I did like some elements of this story: the high school setting, the Cinderella theme, the surly, brooding hero. Certain aspects of the story were entertaining, especially if you don't mind teenage angst and drama. And I do happen to like that, but I have to say that here it was just a little too much for me. The book does end with a complete story for the main couple, they finally get there in the end!, and it sets up the next book, Break Me, about Royal, the hero's best friend.
