Ok, before we start I am a big fan of this ladys books but this isn't a biased review, honestly.
Firstly, I should point out my reasons for feeling rather hesitant about this book and why you can trust me.
I'm a Brit and to be honest I've always found the terms 'Luv' and 'Lovey' rather patronising. Sorry but I do. So to be honest I wasn't to enamoured about reading a book with a heroine by the name of Lovey.
In fact I was so unsure about the name that I admit I failed to read this book when it first came out. Something which if you check out my reviews I almost never do. I have it seems almost avoided this book but reading other books from the series I realised I needed to bite the bullet and do it.
I apologise to Ms Jamieson.
I was wrong and I'm sorry.
Lovey is the most wonderful, thoughtfully written character I have encountered in an exceedingly long time. Forgot the name people she is SO much more than a name. She is intelligent, inspiring, caring and determined.
Marc our hero was slightly harder to warm up to but he was made that way and perhaps it makes them a better pair by how their personalities, although in many respects are the polar opposite they actually complete each other to form a perfect circle.

Classic Jamieson. The book oozes, sex, romance and laughs as we have come to expect.

Absolutely loved this book. And, although I don't still wish to be referred to by the familiar of 'Luv' I would like to be compared to the lady who calls this story home.

This was an awesome start to the series, I had already read book 3 in the series so was already familiar with the characters, so I knew who to expect in this book and I have to say Marc and Lovey were really great characters, (even though I don't like the name Lovey).
I loved the dynamics between brother and sister, Lovey and Duncan, it was your typical bickering but loving each other at the same time, and when Lovey just turns up on Duncs doorstep wanting somewhere to stay he obliges, albeit reluctantly, especially once he sees her walking around the apartment in her skimpy pjs and his roommate Marc notices her! This really doesn't go down well, however Lovey also notices and things between her and Marc are undeniably hot and it soon becomes awkward for Marc as he has promised his best friend that he will stay away and keep his hands off.
I absolutely loved this book, it was very romantic, which I have come to expect from Kelly Jamieson and the storyline kept me hooked from page one. I was nervous about starting this book as I loved the Heller Brothers so much but enjoy ed this just as much and can't wait to see where the rest of the series goes.
I would definitely recommend this book, it was amazingly cheap too!!
5 Stars for me :)

Major Misconduct, An Aces Hockey Novel,  Kelly Jamieson

Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews

Genre:  Romance,

I’ve enjoyed some of Kelly’s other novels so looked forward to this one. As I’ve found before though – just because you like some of an authors work doesn’t mean you’ll love all of them, and for me this was an OK read but nothing special.
I found Lovey hard to like in some ways. Yes she’s bright and cheerful, and clearly hard working even though she seems to be regarded as a flake, but she complains they always treat her as “Lovey gets whatever she wants.”  She resents that, but to be honest from what we read of her its true. She does get what she wants, the family do give way to her, and the current drama is a case in point. She’s given up her job, she has solid reasons although the family don’t know that, but she’s decided to move to Chicago, and that she’ll live with her brother til she finds her own place. She doesn’t tell him, just turns up on his doorstep expecting him to give in, and after a little passive argument he does give way. The What Lovey Wants has struck again. I didn’t really understand why she was keeping the whole job search/own business thing a secret unless it was just that in the past she has been a flake, and fears they’ll be negative?
Her brother is great, and the hands off my sister is something most brothers would do. His flatmate Marc, the hottie Lovey lusts for is gorgeous, and very tempted by her but respects his mate’s wishes...for a while... til Lovey persuades him otherwise. More of the Lovey wants stuff.

MY REVIEW
I love sports romance books and this one didnt disappoint.
Lovey is a easy breezy, carefree and full of life kind of girl and Marc is full of self discipline and control but Lovey pushes her way through all that self control and shows Marc how fun life can be.
This is a nice chilling easy read that flows nicely, the plot is engaging and kept me interested all the way through.
The characters are likeable and are developed so you want to read their stories in future books.
Major Misconduct has some great steamy sexy moments but it also a sweet fun read. I will for sure be reading more book in this series.
