This is book 2 of 2. The first one is called Mail Order Love which I gave 5 stars to.... This storyline continues the love story with all the trials and tribulations of the two main characters. The baddie from book one returns and makes me shiver just at the description of him.... But like all baddies he gets his just deserts... however, he runs riot in-between. Not quite as riveting as bk 1, but worthy of a read all the same. Loved Grammy, how we all wish to have had a grandmother like her..... such a character.

I have written a lengthy review for the first book 'mail order love'

There was very little if any romance in this book, very dissapointing.

It took two books to get to a wedding - to sum it up it was too stretched out with little content = boring

I didn't realize the author was going to come back and finish out the first story. I was glad she did because I didn't feel like we were done on the first one. This is not stand alone for me, you definitely need to read book one.

This is a wonderful ending to Jared and Ellie's story. I loved book one but loved this book even more. Jared's Grammy is a fun loving grandma. I look forward to reading more books by this author, I'm sure they would be as good as this book and book one.
I highly recommend both books.

Book 2 of 2: 1st one Mail Order Love.

Had to stay on the treadmill an extra 20 minutes just to finish. At parts I couldn't put it down because I needed to know what would happen next; how things would tangle and untangle. There's a little mystery thrown in. Empathize and identify with the characters.

There are some wise truths that I am inspired to apply to my life.

I highly recommend this series by Amy Blakelear and can't wait until she writes more!

The history as well as the romance was very interesting. Makes you realize how fragile life was back then. Trying to build a town or a community included the mail order bride business.
HASH(0x904bf294) out of 5 stars Mail Order Bliss - a wonderful follow up to Mail Order Love 23 Mar. 2014

This book continues the story of Jared, Ellie and Grammy that started in Mail Order Love.

Ellie, Jared’s mail order bride, and Jared have been courting for several months and Jared still hasn’t kissed Ellie on the lips.
Ellie can’t understand why he hasn’t kissed her yet and worries if they will ever get married.

As a thank you to his Grammy for ordering him a mail order bride, Jared decides to return the favor and surprise her with a mail order husband. Unbeknownst to Jared the gentleman (I can think of more descriptive words to describe him but they are not suitable for a review) who answered his advertisement is the disgustingly vile and vengeful man whom Ellie had left Boston to escape.

I really enjoyed this book; it was full of laughter and suspense. I am looking forward to reading Amy Blakelear’s next book of the series - Mail Order Brides of Oregon Series: Book Three.
