I will be buying another pair soon. Also, I have a non-safety pair which are even more comfortable.
If you can justify spending this much money on a pair of work boots, buy some now.
As expected from my earlier purchase of Magnum Unisex Patrol CEN Work Boot, these are ridiculously comfortable with the high cut providing good support for the ankle and the side zip being convenient for everyday use, particularly when pushed for time first thing in the morning.
Update: ten months down the line I still rate them 5 stars. They are very comfortable and they are smart enough for the office so I no longer have to change from trainers to brogues when I arrive at work. The only comment I would make is that they can be a little bit squeaky probably due to being an 8-inch all-leather boot, which I've never noticed with the 6-inch patrol boot - this is beyond the expected squeakiness of the grippy sole on hard lino flooring. So unless you are of a particularly nervous disposition or require absolute stealth, I'd have no hesitation in recommending them.
I'm a motorsport rescue / medic which means long days in confined spaces such as ambulances / rescue vehicles sitting around - then if there is a shout, we can be walking through mud / water and having to deal with things like fire, fuel and oil. Our footwear needs to be comfortable, flexible and extremely tough.
There was a lot of talk in review about a seam and not being great comfort wise - and as someone with an office job during the week, i don't really have the opportunity to wear these in.
The first time i wore them i was surprised how comfortable they were - no idea where this seam is meant to be that uncomfortable. I have quite wide feet and am slightly flatfooted, which can make boots quite uncomfortable. These fitted perfectly. In fact probably the most comfortable shoes i have worn. They have a trainer like feel on the inside - with a very reassuring tight feel - but not the walking boot feel where you feel you foot and ankle are locked down. They are very flexible - and after 12 hour shifts feet feel fine. I have yet to take them off and do the "ahhh that's better" typhoon moment.
So far waterproof has been fine - and no sweat either. As for weight - they are just right - you can feel you have a sturdy pair of boots on.
Overall - very happy - nothing bad to say - solid, comfortable, flexible... a sturdy pair of boots that don't feel like your wearing boots.
These boot are deceptive, they look big and bulky but are actually a lightweight and very comfortable boot (I'd recommend wearing boot socks with them).
