Rouleur is to bike magazines what National Geographic is to nature photography (Wired magazine)
A sumptuous history of the race, accompanied by marvellously evocative photographs (Guardian)
Sykes tells stories which cut to the heart of the Giro d'Italia itself. They're stories of ordinary men and an extraordinary race. And they're some of the best cycling story-telling I've yet read. Read them. (Podiumcafe.com)
A phenomenal, entertaining and beautiful book. (Bicycling magazine)
Herbie Sykes gives cycling fans a truly fascinating account of II Giro D'Italia and unearths a history of triumph and tragedy that most readers have previously overlooked... we highly recommend you read this book. (www.trackcyclingnews.com 2013-04-23)
Herbie's masterwork is...comprehensive; his style is factual and straightforward ... it is well researched and should appeal to anyone with an interest in such a classic road race as The Giro. (Cycling World)
The first edition was like a dark-haired Italian beauty. I had a serious crush. Reading the second edition for this review was like going back to see her again and discovering she was even more beautiful, perhaps more voluptuous and certainly more worldly...MAGLIA ROSA now ascends to the top of my list of English-language books about the Giro d'Italia. (CycleItalia 2013-10-02)

I have just finished chapter six and can't wait to continue.
Herbie Sykes writes in a way that you can imagine having a pint with him and listening to the story of the Giro.
On the back cover Bicycling Magazine have quoted "A phenomonal, entertaining and beautiful book"
Whoever wrote that, nailed it.
The above was posted mid May.
I have just finished the final chapter and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
I was holding back on the final chapters because I did not want it to end!
