This is a welcome addition to the French collections already available on Not Now Music CDs. This new 3 CD and 75 track compilation is a charming and most entertaining set. There can be no denying that having a themed collection is a great selling point and with the abundance of public domain material available a delightful effect can be created. This new set presents records from 1953 to 1962 (CD1); 1938 to 1962 (CD2) & 1939 to 1962. The liner notes are from Joseph Adair and sum up the content and appeal of the set.
