Mad Catz Aircharge Inductive Charger (Black) for Wii.

UPDATE - had this now for a couple of months. Still working perfectly. The kids automatically place the contol back on the charger. Very hapy with this item 10/10.
1. It is incredibly easy to set up, with no technical knowledge; comes with clear simple instructions.
2. My 8 year old has no problem docking the remotes correctly so they charge properly (very obvious flashing lights show you when they are charging)
3. No more batteries needed!
4. You can leave the covers and nunchucks etc attached to the remotes and don't have to remove them for charging
5. It looks great (unobtrusive and sleek) next to the black Wii and black TV (!)
The only downside is that it only caters for 2 remotes (having only 2 battery packs).
My only thoughts for improvement would be: (1) higher capacity batteries (2) slightly dimmer LEDs on the charger unit
I was pleasantly surprised by the size and quality of this though - it's smaller, feels better quality, fits the new smaller handsets better (you leave the silicone jackets on) and crucially, it works fantastically well!
One of the major selling points is that you don't need a separate wall socket as it fits inline with the wii.
An all-round good buy!
And, after tiring of constantly running down two AA batteries every week, I decided to take the plunge and invest in this.
Note the word "invest" - because while it might be around the £20 mark, it is quite possibly the most brilliant bit of gaming technology I have ever purchased. Ridiculously easy to set up, and all you need to do is (once the replacement batteries are inserted) place the entire Wii remote on the charging plate. It charges through the remote jacket, supports Motion Plus and uses some sort of magnetic conduction technology (I don't know the exact science, but all I care about is that it works!)
Two remotes can be charged at a time, with a slightly annoying and distracting red light flashing on the charging plate, which then turn blue once fully charged. The device also stops charging at this point, preventing the risk of overcharging the supplied batteries. The one thing I would say is that the lights are very bright - certainly, with my Wii in my bedroom, there is a noticeable glow coming from the unit underneath my TV.Read more ›

There's better chargers out there. This one isn't great. Don't get me wrong, it works. But the batteries that come with it die so rediculously quickly. Read morePublished 20 months ago by Matthijs De Meester
It takes a while for the remotes to get fully charged, but even as a trickle charger it is well worth having.Published on 27 Nov. 2013 by theob-scure
This item is not fit for purpose so don't bother with, the rechargeable batteries will not now charge, we have have had them less than in use, 2 years. Read morePublished on 2 Aug. 2013 by Colin
Very modern looking and works great, the wii remotes just sit on the charger almost lying flat and they charge up quite quickly.Published on 27 Mar. 2013 by Mrs. S. Keyworth
I was a little hesitant originally about getting this because even when fully charged, the controller life on the inductive charger is still less than the controller life if you... Read morePublished on 4 Mar. 2013 by Bill
These are fantastic, just lay the remote on the bed and it charges, much better than the other type with contacts which I tried before a few times and gave up on them. Read morePublished on 10 Feb. 2013 by themorfinator

Does the job - handy charging dock for 2 wiimotes. I bought 2 so I can charge 4.
The battery life is maybe 3 or 4 hours, so I find it easy to need to change remotes... Read more
