This is the second charger I've bought, and I wish I'd seen it first. It's great: unlike my first charger, there is no fiddling about with the protective sleeve, no need to remove the Motion Plus, just put the remote on the charger and it does the rest. You can easily tell when its charging, and it automatically stops (and a little blue light comes on) when the batteries are charged. The power feed also bypasses the Wii, so you don't have to leave the Wii station on for the charger to work. Simple and hassle free.

Outstanding bit of kit. Very simple to set up and use. Will save me £££s on batteries and ear ache from the kids when rechargables are not ready. So simple the kids will take responsibility for charging their own controls. Does not come with wall plug but slots into the back of the Wii controller which takes about 10 seconds to do. The other reports are correct, don't hesitate just get one.

UPDATE - had this now for a couple of months. Still working perfectly. The kids automatically place the contol back on the charger. Very hapy with this item 10/10.

for anyone who has endured the frustration of a sub-standard charger that leaves you with an hour or two's decent charge if u r lucky..... look no further because this product is amazing!!!! it has given our wii a whole new lease of life, after being let down so many times with the charge given by our rubbish argos charger, i now realise that u simply don't have to put up with it!! it says on the box that this gives up to 15 hours charge, and whilst we would never use it for that long, i do believe that it would. we have had 3-4 hours play out of one charge, and the remotes have only gone down by one bar. excellent. revolutionary. charge with or without the skins. with or without the motionplus. u simply lie it on it's little bed, and away you go! i spent a lot of time researching chargers before deciding to buy this one, and i am suitably impressed with my choice!!

This is a great charger, but MadCatz seem to have dropped the product. You cannot see it on their website and this is a shame as my batteries have failed and I need new ones. You can however take the batteries apart and replace the cells, which is what I will probably end up doing...although some battery tag soldering may be required. Madcatz have also ignored my email requests, so customer service not great. If your battery fails you will find your self looking at other brands and making sure they do replacement batteries! There a number of people on the internet looking for replacement batteries.

Bought this in total ignorance (based on the other reviews) for my son who was going through batteries at a ridiculous rate on his Wii remotes. It has been an absolute godsend.

1. It is incredibly easy to set up, with no technical knowledge; comes with clear simple instructions.

2. My 8 year old has no problem docking the remotes correctly so they charge properly (very obvious flashing lights show you when they are charging)

3. No more batteries needed!

4. You can leave the covers and nunchucks etc attached to the remotes and don't have to remove them for charging

5. It looks great (unobtrusive and sleek) next to the black Wii and black TV (!)

The only downside is that it only caters for 2 remotes (having only 2 battery packs).

I bought this inductive charger (black, to match my black Wii). It looks nicely inconspicious and it works very well. Charges my Wii Remote Plus devices in their rubber jackets. I don't have to take the jackets off to change batteries anymore! Also, the battery packs have a passthrough hole to let you push the sync button with a long tool, if needed. There isn't any way for the sync button to get pressed accidentally during gaming, as can happen with some rival devices.

My only thoughts for improvement would be: (1) higher capacity batteries (2) slightly dimmer LEDs on the charger unit

I had an older version of this charger but the batteries eventually died. The cost of replacement batteries was quite expensive and buying this whole unit was only marginally more.

I was pleasantly surprised by the size and quality of this though - it's smaller, feels better quality, fits the new smaller handsets better (you leave the silicone jackets on) and crucially, it works fantastically well!

One of the major selling points is that you don't need a separate wall socket as it fits inline with the wii.

An all-round good buy!

I've been after a Wii remote charger for a while, and had come across a wide variety of them. However, most that I've seen seemed like a bit of a faff to use. They nearly all involve the inconvenience of having to remove the Wii Remote jacket when inserting a freshly charged battery. The ones that didn't, that could be charged by cable, didn't support the Wii Motion Plus.

And, after tiring of constantly running down two AA batteries every week, I decided to take the plunge and invest in this.

Note the word "invest" - because while it might be around the £20 mark, it is quite possibly the most brilliant bit of gaming technology I have ever purchased. Ridiculously easy to set up, and all you need to do is (once the replacement batteries are inserted) place the entire Wii remote on the charging plate. It charges through the remote jacket, supports Motion Plus and uses some sort of magnetic conduction technology (I don't know the exact science, but all I care about is that it works!)

Two remotes can be charged at a time, with a slightly annoying and distracting red light flashing on the charging plate, which then turn blue once fully charged. The device also stops charging at this point, preventing the risk of overcharging the supplied batteries. The one thing I would say is that the lights are very bright - certainly, with my Wii in my bedroom, there is a noticeable glow coming from the unit underneath my TV.
