Purchased these notes whilst studying A level English Literature. These notes were recommended by my English teacher and were frequently referenced to during class. I found these notes essential to work from during revision. By no means will this be enough for revision but it provides a very good starting point to work from. There are many hints, tips and 'AO' points made throughout the textbook allowing you to analyse the text from many different perspectives which may not have been considered originally. Overall I think it is definately worth the buy. Great quality and very useful.

I've not given this five stars simply for the fact that I felt that although it did help and I could not have done the course without it, the example essays in the back were just atrocious, definitely not an 'A' grade standard as it claimed to be.

Overall however, I found this was extremely useful in extending my knowledge of context and key issues that I had never thought of.
If you can filter out the stuff that you really will never use and highlight the best bits, this really is a useful companion to the course.

This text is easily accessible and simplifies the text. For A'level, I think it is perhaps oversimplified;useful for students who are struggling with the text rather than stretching and challenging them.

I am very happy with this book. I am using it for GCSE but it is really good if your looking to challenge yourself and attain a higher grade. The GCSE book is good for a basic understanding of the play and characters but this book gives a much more in depth analysis. A great buy!

Needed it for igcse course, gone for higher level of info as the basic book is too simplistic for GCSE.
