I got one of these journals for a friend who suffers from depression and discovered that it's an absolutely fantastic tool!
It serves as a good little anchor (if only for a few minutes) throughout the up/down patterns of thoughts/moods and it's a great outlet for getting in touch with & expression of gratitude of what one can struggle to connect to during the internal conflict.& it's "waves" .
Obviously, with written word we build attention/awareness & it really helped to cultivate a balanced view of each day, breaking through the negative filters so deeply set. And developing a mindset of Gratitude.
If a day is missed until a new habit is established it has undated pages, so , this can serve as recognising the symptom patterns too and as you previously listed the things that you are grateful for, you begin again with anchoring back into a much better mindset.
The weekly review page is fabulous as you have the chance to take on board a nice list of things that are good in your life. Cultivating gratitude and building up the awareness of the beauty that is always found in life and the value of the "little things"
Very simple in its set out it doesn't clutter the mind further either.
