If i could give negative marks I would.

Files that initially went on to the card got deleted as I put new ones on.

They worked at first so I deleted the source files on my phone after I'd checked.

Ive lost all of the pictures of family / holiday etc plus nearly 2000 evernote notes and 8gb of music.

I was using this so I could transfer to my desktop for backup.

Thoroughly gutted.

Worst purchase of my life.

This is a faked capacity card, and does not contain anywhere close to 64GB. The capacity information has been tampered with to display false information to your device. It really only contains around 4GB, and once you exceed that small capacity, the rest of the data is not stored on the card and will be lost. These should really be taken off sale. Avoid.

Usually these cards are listed here on Amazon with a "Star Buy" on them and supplied by "Best Buy".

They are all hacked fake capacity cards. The real capacity is likely to be around 4GB.

Yes, it will show as close to claimed capacity in Windows.
Yes, it will appear to take all the data you can throw at it.
Yes, it will show the data is there when you check contents.

The firmware is hacked to do this. The intention of the hacker is to fool Windows and you.The hacker could have just as easily hacked these to read as 256GB or 512GB. However, these pieces of poor quality hacked rubbish will not fool the completely free h2testw. The test will reveal TRUE capacity, probably around 4GB. Any data above the 4GB will be lost and the data in the 4GB already there will begin to be corrupted too. The drive will ask for constant formatting. It may not format at all. Unlikely it will allow any formatting other than Fat32. The memory may not be recognised by your device or computer. When you want to access data stored on memory, it will ask you for a program to open the file. There isn't one. Can't open what's not really there. Memory like this can cause your pc or device to freeze or crash.

Google h2testw and fake memory usb for further info.

You do not really need to go any further than the other negative reviews on these cards.

Avoid any of these cards in this packaging as they are all fake capacity. I would advise avoiding any unbranded memory products on Amazon. The majority are the same as this one. Have a look at Iron Man, leather clad usb drives, gold bars, bullets, swivel style usb drives. See how similar the negative reviews are. Check the negative reviews on branded memory too.

These memory cards are counterfeit/fake. You can tell that from the picture; if you zoom in notice that the card says SDHC. All genuine 64GB cards say SDXC instead. The generic-looking packaging is a giveaway too.

The actual capacity is much less, maybe 8GB, but the capacity the card reports is 64GB. The card may seem to work okay at first, but as soon as you put more than about 8GB of files on it, the new files and/or existing files are silently corrupted as other reviewers noted. There's no possible reason why anyone would want such a card instead of a (cheaper) genuine 8GB one. Well, the only possible reason would be to sell it to an unsuspecting customer...

If you buy a cheap card and want to verify that its capacity is genuine, use h2testw to test it. Run h2testw on any new card before entrusting your photos/videos/whatever to it. Get that from
http://www.heise.de/download/h2testw.html

It's surprising that Amazon (and eBay too, for that matter) allow so many scammers to sell fake memory cards.

The cost of the card was so cheap I should have known there was a reason. Spent a whole day trying to copy files to the card, which it failed to do. When I did get some files copies (MP3's and jpegs) the card then gave an error message saying the card needed formatting. Complete waste of time.I will go for a known name in future like sandisk - where I know the quality of the card.

Card is a fake. Testing softwares showing only 6GB of working area. Upon inserting card, computor looks like zombie, responding very slow. Formating doesn't help. I am using cards for years, have never seen something like this.
