- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 October 2011This training kit is very comprehensive and is very important tool if you are sitting the Microsoft Exam 70 - 662 and you wish to expand your knowledge in configuring windows based servers. The accompanying CD also helps with revision too
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 29 July 2012Yea, really good, came promptly and in first class condition. Haven't really got into it that much yet as I am Getting through my CCNA revision first. All seems very well with this product.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 November 2013Bought this book to study toward the 70-662 exam, and as other reviews say it doesn't go all the way to preparing you for that. However, I've taken many other MS exams and none of the books I've ever read have totally prepared me for the ridiculous MS questions, which often focus on technology combinations and usage scenarios that would simply never exist in the real world. This gets 4 starts from me as I found several cases of information in the book directly contradicting that of MS online resources and practice exams (order of domain prep switches and server pre-reqs to name but two), and it was only by trusting the book that I passed the 70-662 exam for real. It was definitely a valuable study resource.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 June 2012This is an excellent Exchange 2010 book for anyone that wants to learn the product. Tried some other books, this is the best.
The re-cap at the end of each chapter is very useful.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 September 2011Buy this book if you want to learn how to setup and manage EX2010 in the real world, however if you want to pass the 070-662 exam make sure this isn't the only training resource in your study plan because if EX2010 is not already familiar to you it won't get you there..
Notably omitted from the book are:
* Exchange 2010 SP1
* Any co-existence and migration labs with previous exchange versions
* Hosted exchange scenarios
As previous reviewers have commented, sometimes grammar & spelling isn't all it could be, there are a few amusing contradictions and some of the format and terminology (particularly in the practice exams) is different to the 070-662 but I do believe the authors have made every effort to impart the knowledge of real value (as opposed to exam value) to the reader.
Having said that, I can unfortunately only give 3 stars as the book is currently the only Microsoft accredited study guide available and as an experienced MCSE/MCSA/MCTS the 070-662 exam has become the only Microsoft exam I've ever failed (twice now).
Hope it helps..

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 March 2011This is an awful book to read. I have worked in IT for many years and have read some poor technical books, but this one has ranked as one of the worst. Very confusing explanations that leave you not understanding the subject. Asumumptions that you already understand new topics. I personally don't recommend this book. After reading just over half of the book I'm off to try and find another one, which will help me understand Exchange 2010
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 April 2011I have used this book to train delegates and was surprised at the low reviews.. Firstly the power shell commands have made assumptions on the server name and database settings so.. yes.. they will not work with the given parameters and the the correct parameters must be entered to match your training environment.. Secondly this book is clear, to the point, loads of examples and really great power shell commands.. Finally it has "Training Kit" written on the front of the book so it is just that.. a "Training Kit" and a very good one..
