This first book in the MC: Series is a really good story introducing the main characters in the MC as well as laying the foundation for many of the ideals and principles they want to develop going forwards. In this book there is a lot of dialogue, rather than 'he said, she said' prose and the style of writing is quite 'staccato' (deliberately so I think,) in keeping with the fact that Knight, as well as being current VP of the Club, was a Highly Trained Satellite for his SEAL team. A silent and deadly efficient assassin for both the Government and the MC he also may well be borderline autistic which makes his sort of cold, hard mode of speech understandable If you have read any of The Baxter series; She Found Us, Our Angel, and Our Wife, some of the characters will be familiar as the two stories run parallel to a degree. The way the MC expands is all set up from here, and I have thoroughly enjoyed every single book in this series so far.

To this series although sometimes it was a little hard to follow but once I got their dialogue I sailed through and those kids had me laughing my head off, how cute are they???? Also it was so nice to finally read about a main character who struggles with a disability as it gets boring reading about characters who live picture perfect lives where their hair doesn't move, so yeah, great to read about real life problems as I too have suffered with arthritis from a young age so it does happen lol anyways off to purchase the next instalment, if this book was crap I wouldn't be, lol nice job. OMG I loved this book. Jess is so bad ass and funny I was laughing out loud and Steve (Knight) what a guy. He sees her and has asked her out for 6 weeks before she said yes. I am so glad she did. She had a really bad last relationship and trust is not something that comes easy to her, also she has a medical condition that has her living in pain every day. The chemistry from these two is brilliant they seem to support each other but alone they are capable of so much too. This was an unbelievable romance and series starter. I was totally hooked and had to order books 2,3 and 4.

My first read from this author, not my usual genre, but like to try other romance stories. This didn't disappoint, the first in a series, had to adapt to the style and dialogue, but written in the real world, where not everyone or every situation is rose coloured and perfect. Great characters, setting and events, I couldn't stop, had to finish this, which is always a good sign for an avid reader. Will definitely be reading the rest of the stories in the series, off to shop and read more MC! Try it!

Slightly stilted writing but a darn good book. MC with a difference they have moved beyond running drugs and guns as they lost too many brothers to others greed. Using the money they have gained they pump it back into their local community making it a drug free zone where everyone wants to move.

Jess is the buttoned up receptionist from work, Steve has been talking to her for three years, in the last 6 months he has asked her out on a date and she has refused, this time she accepts. When he arrives at her house to pick her up for their date he is stunned into shock as the buttoned up receptionist has a body that doesn't quit and an honesty that has him hooked. His first mistake is taking her to the MC bar, now he fights to keep her safe from men who don't follow any rules.

Jess has a head for numbers and proceeds to gain her own respect but she is struggling with a crippling bone condition which she keeps hidden as she doesn't want to see the pity in their eyes.

In return for her canny investments on behalf of the brothers, they in turn invest in a clinic in Boston that is looking at her bone condition with alternative drug treatments which enable her to carry her and Steve's baby to term.

After you get past the language used in this book it had an interesting story. Follows the club over a number of years and obviously the main characters features marriage, babies and life in general. Would recommend

Well I one clicked this book because it was free and I'm so glad I did!
This was a really good plot, loved the main couple (Steve and Jess), also really liked the mutitude of secondary characters. Mind you I did get confused quite a bit as to who's who cos there really were alot of people in this book!!!!
It took me half way through to get used to the author's style of writing and she could definitely use someone to proof read BUT I still really enjoyed reading this.
I wasn't going to carry on reading this series but as soon as I'd finished I bought the second one and am off to start reading it now lol!!!!!
If you love MC reads (which I do) then buy this book.
