I love the box, bag and cutlery set to match!!
However, the bag and the cutlery set are all sold separately. You have to get the set to match!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great lunch box! 5 Jan. 2014

I am 6'1" 370 lbs, so I need to lose weight! That is why I bought this bento to force some portion control at work. When I first bought this I was shocked at how small it was. But if you lay the top and bottom next to each other they are about the same size as a medium platter plus they have depth which a plate does not have so it holds plenty. at first i packed both compartment full but these days I just use the top container. I fit 5 chicken nuggets (cut in halves), 3 chopped baby carrots, and half of a diced apple in the top which fills me pretty good. You could also put a salad in the bottom so plenty of room. The design is pretty cool and it is sturdy unlike a lot of the cheep bentos out there. You can fit a pair of the collapsing chopsticks and a napkin between the lid and the top container. I have put it in the dishwasher and microwave about 4 times and it does not seem to warp, though I usually hand wash it because I need it daily.

5.0 out of 5 stars The fit between the bag and the box is very good without being too tight 21 Mar. 2015

This is such a cute little bento! Actually, it's not so little!! I use both tiers separately for lunch and dinner! On days I only need lunch I pack the other tier with veggies or snacks! It holds up very well and is very well made. I've received a lot of compliments on this box as well! Even some guys thought it was cute lol! I also got the accompanying bag! I didn't get the utensils. They seemed kinda pricy and I just put disposable chop sticks or a lonely fork in the bag. The fit between the bag and the box is very good without being too tight!

I really wanted to work on portion control and I actually watched a lot of meal prep videos on youtube! Unfortunately having 21 containers with each one filled with a planned out meal seemed intimidating. It would also be a space hog to store in the fridge with roommates, yikes! So I pretty much cook what I need and store it big containers and then portion it out the day before or morning of in my bento! It's cute and not intimidating!

One thing that's not really mentioned that I noticed is that there are no 'smell' leaks which is nifty! Also very very easy to clean. After I eat my lunch I go to a sink and rinse it. I then clean it at home with soap and hot water. One thing that I do to keep things from mixing is use silicon cups to portion out the food and used animal sauce containers I found on amazon also. I haven't had trouble with stains but when I have a weird item like lasagna, I put aluminum foil on the inside of the tier to protect it. I guess that is really just for piece of mind because what's an orange stain in an orange container?

I wish I could've posted more food pics but every time I remember, the food is already eaten lol. Hope this helps!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great size, love the colors and design 9 Oct. 2014

I love this bento. It's large enough to pack a variety of western-style lunches. I have a collection of over 20 bentos from small 100ml side containers to 1100ml and larger "man" sized boxes. All have downsides- it's a pain to pack lots of smaller containers just to be able to fit my entire lunch. The larger boxes are wide and shallow, which can make it hard to accommodate a variety of foods without having them mix. Some containers don't stay shut.

I like that the you don't need to use both layers of the Monbento in order to still have a functional box. If I'm only using one layer, I turn the strap so it goes around the long side of the box, and it holds perfectly. There's a generous amount of space under the topmost lid- I can pack cream cheese pouches or Flackers crackers in there without them getting squished. The two layers hold plenty of food; the only thing I don't pack in the box is salads, soups and one-dish meals that I'm going to reheat.

Many of the meals that I reheat are tomato-based or have fat in the sauce that would ruin the plastic, so I don't heat the boxes or I just pack that portion of my lunch in a different container. I also don't put them in the dishwasher, having had bad experiences with other boxes. They wash up very easily, though- hand washing the boxes and lids takes just a minute or two.

I also go the matching bag and silicone divider containers. I must admit I paid the premium price on these products because I like the design and how well everything matches and fits together. A Lock & Lock container would work just as well (and be half the price), but somehow this makes my lunch more attractive.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this box 20 Sept. 2014

I love this box! It's a good adult-sized box that still allows for sensible portions. The lids seal well and all of it does well in the microwave or fridge. There are small vents in each inner lid to remove steam burning issues. I can wash all the parts in the dishwasher without having it become warped, and I purchased the cutlery set which has its own box that slides neatly under my washable bento band. I can use only one level and put the band lengthwise and it still holds it securely. A well-made durable product.

This bento is smooth and silky to the touch. It is very well machined with no obvious mold marks. All parts fit together snugly. Has been used in the microwave with no signs of damage or distortion. Somewhat pricy for a lunchbox, but the look, feel and function are top notch.
