This book was generously provided to me in exchange for an honest review by the author.

Mimi has done it again. Although this is a stand alone book, I felt that knowing the King series background, would give more of an insight to all the characters as Mia and King both make an appearance. From the minute I started reading this book, I was hooked. There are twist and turns all the way through.
Without revealing too much- which would be so easy - this is the story of Mack, the twin brother of King, who we met in the King trilogy, and 28 year old Theodora (Teddi for short), a highly intelligent clinical psychologist who has never felt any form of emotion till the day she walks into room 25, turns on the lights and lays eyes on sexy Mack. Mack has booked himself into the the Santa Barbara Mental Health Treatment Centre, where Teddi has just started her new position as the director of the institute, as he believes he needs her to end it all for him. She on the other hand believes that she has to save him - no matter what. Mack has to help Teddi remember, so that she can help him, and all before they find them...
Theirs is a love that expands centuries. Can there be a happily ever after. Mimi says there is another final book after this one where Mack and King finally put an end to it all.
There are plenty of OMG moments and the inevitable 'no that can't happen'. I loved this story and only wished it could have been longer. Can't wait for the next one so that the story can continue.
Well done Mimi. You are truly talented.

While this is a standalone it is definitely worth reading the King series first. Some of the main characters play important roles in this book.

This book is the story of Mack and Teddi (Theodora) who runs a psychiatric treatment centre. On first meeting Mack she believes he needs serious help and feels determined that she should be the one to provide it. Actually she is overly protective of him and can't seem to stay away. As he tells her his story, which is actually their story spanning thousands of years, she recalls pieces and gets drawn into his world.

This book is choc full of twists and turns and I felt like I was racing to keep up with everything going on. All the characters, double-crossing, death and resurrections. Wow! I thoroughly enjoyed this story and can't wait to read the next one later this year!

I loved the King Trilogy and downloaded Mack straight after finishing it. I couldn't wait for his story especially now knowing who he was!
Mack has been to hell and back, despite everything completely loyal to King, but is suffering so much pain and guilt and just wants an end to it all. Teddi is the only one who can help him, but King isn't about to let her.

Mack wasn't as dark as the King trilogy, but still a very captivating read. I couldn't guess how they would resolve things and gain the HEA they both deserved. An unexpected twist at the end (and yes, a cliffhanger) is going to make the wait for the next book a long one! I thoroughly recommend this, but definitely read The King a Trilogy first. I loved Mack, want more please :-) five gorgeous stars!!

After reading the preceding books in this series and loving them I had to add this one to my collection . It's billed as a standalone story but it leaves you with a very unexpected ending that I for one didn't see coming . As with the other books this one lived up to all my expectations and I can't wait for the next which I believe is out later this year .

I am a massive fan of the king series and Macks story rekindled that fangirling fire!

I was a little bit gutted when I finished the last line in the King trillogy and I am soo so happy that Mimi decided to continue the story!!!

Macks story is just as suspenseful, just as intriguing and just as heartbreaking. Mimi knows just how to keep us readers on the edge of our seats.

There are no words! I finished the book the day after it was delivered to my kindle and after each page was turned I kept thinking I don't want his book to end. King is by far one of my favourite ever trilogies and this does not disappoint. You have the little snippets of the King you know, love and at times hate and ten you have Mack. He seems like such a lost soul you have to love him. Another amazing read that I would like to give way more than 5 stars. I can't wait for the next instalment.

Good book, it leads on nicely front the last book. I loved that King was in the book! I was just left a little wanting, it seems like the book has been shortened to enable the fourth instalment. That said I really liked Mack in this book!

Mimi has written another fantastic story, following the history of Mack, King's twin brother. Full of intrigue, rage, regret and, of course, love and loyalty, I won't spoil it, but it damn near broke my heart. I cannot wait for the next book!
