Top Customer Reviews
-The use of some of my favorite images has been wasted by printing faded photographs of them (for example: Balenciaga 2000 & some Yamamoto catalogs).
- The guys seem to have gotten the impression that anything with their doodling on top is a hit...
- Alot of the commercial content looks dated and, because M/M have been so influential & everywhere, generic.
- Arena Homme+ gets 4 spreads, while Purple magazine gets 0 pages.
- "A" (Ann-Catherine) in The Alphabet-series is printed twice. (edit: The "A" in The Alphamen-series is printed twice too, so that it reads "alphamen", one letter per page, on consecutive pages. So pretentious it borders on cool.)
So, as beautiful and affordable this book may look, I find it's also irritating and repetitive. If you work in typography/graphic design you might need this for reference. I still suggest that you, if possible, have a flip through it in the shops before ordering. On the other hand, if you are in the market for a disposable coffee-table book, this does have a lot going for it: it looks new. Oh and the bookmarks(?) pictured on amazon did not come with my (sealed) copy; if someone knows what they are/where to find them please leave a comment.
