This product met all of my expectations and exceeded most of them. The keyboard is extremely well built but there are some small problems with latency- this is due to a minor internal hardware issue, not the actual keyboard itself.

Great value for the relatively small amount of money I purchased it for. I bought it for College, to help with our MIDI composition module.

In a nutshell, this is a cracking wee piece of gear and I think it would perform brilliantly in a live/touring situation, due to it's small form factor and the fact it is incredibly light- I can lift this thing with one hand, AMAZING.

M-Audio have done themselves proud with this one, it is ideal for anyone starting out in a small studio with a MIDI rig. So any of you budding young producers should purchase your's TODAY!

great for Mac Garage Band '09

I unpacked the keyboard, puzzled over the instructions for 'online certification' etc, then decided to ignore them! I just plugged the keyboard into my Mac OS X 10.6.4 with the supplied USB cable, opened GarageBand '09, Magic GarageBand, and found that I could play 'My Instrument' straightaway! (Note: there seems to be a GarageBand bug that prevents Organs from loading into My Instrument in the 'Rock' genre, but they load in other genres). Keyboard is well made, plug-&-play for GarageBand, great value! Recommended.

Used to have a fully-fledged synth but it was too big and heavy, so sold that on ebay and got one of these to replace it.

Plus points:
- it's light
- it's a doddle to use (at least on the Mac) - just plug in the USB and away you go
- it's pretty well made
- it's not too expensive.

Negative points:
- the keys are absolutely fine but not particularly well weighted
- it's not that cool looking.

Happy I bought this, no regrets :-)

Nice little keyboard

This is a solid little keyboard for inputting notes into your computer. The software that comes with it is awful (and I couldn't get the M-Audio software to work on Windows 7 at all, just the free version of Ableton that came with it), but it works with any suite that can process MIDI instruments.

There is a few ms delay, but if you use ASIO drivers with your recording software you can basically negate it.

I bought this product last year but one of the keys wasn't working. I sent them a letter and they asked me to return the item at my own convenience. I returned it this year and they sent another one immediately. It arrived in a well packaged manner with the keyboard carton inside another carton to ensure its safety. I have been using it so far and I have no problems or regrets whatsoever. Would definitely recommend it to any music lover or music maker. Works with all my laptops (mac and windows) and all my producer software.
