A massive thank you and hands up to the guys at Cherry Pop and more importantly to Michael Silvester who has dedicated so many years to this amazing 80's family pop group for helping to get this re-issue off the ground. It's such a shame that The Pearsons themselves declined to be involved in the re-issue of their fresh debut album.

Denises vocals are just outstanding! Crystal clear and so slick, catchy and infectious! The album is as unique now as it was 25 years ago back in 1985. The bonus tracks in themselves are worth purchasing this CD for as it's the first time any of them have been released on CD.

This CD makes you realise how unique 5 Star were despite the tiring comparisions to The Jackson 5. It's such a travesty that they were not given the chance to grow and have more longevity and success! They paved the way for so many black artists. The super slickness of their dance routines and their young, youthful fresh look!

The sleeve notes are very informative and go in-depth into how the album was put together, with interviews with producers, remixers and song writers. Stand out tracks are, Love Take Over, Now I'm In Control and Winning. But let's not forget that 80's synth pop classic, System Addict.

Take a trip dowm memory lane and re-live the tunes of these 80's icons of shoulder pads, dance rountines and catchy pop songs!

It's a great pop album and Cherry have done well with the remaster. It sounds more lively than the original CD release from the mid eighties and I find myself listening through instead of skipping tracks. Like some have said here it would have been nice to have had a second disc with more remixes (are you listening Cherry Red?) but its sound is an improvement and that's something to be grateful for with the current fashion for the over use of compression. Highly recommended.

Cherry Red (Pop) have unleashed another classic album originally released in 1985. The sound quality of the tracks is excellent, the music content including the remixes and the b-side "Love Games" is brilliant and the detailed discography is an added bonus. The reproduction of the artwork is poor but this is a minor quibble. Cherry Pop should try to secure the rights of other gems from this group like "Between The Lines" and "Rock The World". I'll be first in line if they do.

this debut album is fantastic from one of the best groups of that time. This album spawned so many hits like " system addict","let me be the one","love take over","rsvp","all fall down" but "winning" and "now i'm in control" should have been released too. The remixes were fantastic and there were remixes of "winning" and fab track called "love games" which should be on a remastered album.

classic pop and outshines a lot of music released today
