There are several strands to the story, but they all relate back to one thng really - revenge.
At times you don't know which character to feel sorry for and which to loathe, and I must admit that at various times I was rooting for soemone to come out on top where I had previously wanted to see them fail, or vice versa.
As you get drawn into the plot you will probably find yourself reluctant to put this book down - I just read the last 200 pages in one sitting as I wanted to see what would happen in the end.
I don't think it matters whether you are looking for a book to read on your daily commute, for a beach holiday, or just to read in the evenings, this is undoubtably a good book - and I must admit the fact that it doesn't have a pink cover definitely goes in its favour in my opinion!
I think this book will appeal to fans of Tasmina Perry, Penny Vincenzi and Jackie Collins, as well as fans of other chicklit, but I think it also has enough to appeal to fans of thrillers and crime stories - there are certainly enough plot twists to keep you interested.
To fans of this I would also recommend "unsticky" by Sarra Manning, or the above mentined authors if you have not tried them yet.
The story itself is quite intricate and at the beginning we are taken through the different layers affecting all of the people involved. The book centres heavily on the down side to being rich and having it all which made a refreshing change. Not only that but the core of it all is two men's need for revenge and rivalry. The characters themselves, whether it be the three guys, Maryanne or Logan's children are all seriously flawed and as the book continues you get to see just how much actions affect them all.
I found myself over halfway through in the first sitting, but sadly had to wait until the next day to carry on. I didn't necessarily like all the characters, but they were written in such a way that you understood why they were going down the path they chose. The cover certainly doesn't do this book justice and finishing it with a big self satisfied sigh, I couldn't wait to read the second one.
I loved this book and although people may write it off as women's fluffy fiction, they couldn't be further from the truth. This was an absolutely brilliant book that I couldn't put down. Lots of suspense and a gripping storyline means I will be looking forward to Jessica Ruston's second book To Touch the Stars. If you are a fan of authors such as Tasmina Perry, then this is the author for you to try!

But Luxury is different.
It's not your average Jilly Cooper or chick lit book - it's the ultimate guilty pleasure for 20,30,40+ women.
I found myself laid up in bed and in between White Tiger and Wuthering Heights, I devoured Luxury. Which one did I enjoy most? Luxury, of course.
Luxury is a page-turning, bonkbuster from start to finish, a great fun, pacey read, full of ideas, attention to detail and lovely turns of phrase.
For me, it is Gossip Girl, Twilight, Grazia, Sex and the City (all those wonderful guilty pleasures) and London life all rolled into one. My only disappointment with it? Getting to the end and realising that I couldn't immediately go online and order the sequel. Come on Jessica Ruston, please.
If you're looking for a book you'll actually enjoy reading (rather than feeling you should), a damn good, action packed story and more than a slightly ironic take on modern life then Luxury is the book for you. I was pleasantly surprised and just wish I got to it sooner...or later (so that I would still be reading it now!).
