Lumie Bodyclock wakes you gradually with light that mimics a real sunrise. The brightening light naturally brings you round from sleep, prompting your body to reduce the production of sleep hormones such as melatonin, whilst increasing the levels of hormones like cortisol that help you get up and go. This provides a fantastic start to the day for sufferers of SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) and the winter blues, and helps anyone who is not naturally a morning person to feel brighter and more energetic first thing. Lumie Bodyclock are available with a range of extra features to help you wake brighter and sleep well. From Lumie, light therapy specialists and inventors of the very first wake-up lights.

Using Bodyclock Shine 300
Light for every day well-being
Light at the start of the day is the most effective way to reset your internal clock and this is the science behind Bodyclock.
Use the Bodyclock Shine 300 sunrise all year round to anchor your internal clock to your wake-up time, helping you to feel more energised and productive during the day and ready for sleep at night...
Fading sunset to help you unwind
Wind down gradually with a 15-90 minute sunset. Fading light is a signal for the body to produce melatonin ready for sleep so the sunset makes you naturally drowsy.
You could also listen to a soothing sleep sound or a favourite FM station.
Combine sunset and audio settings to drift off to sleep with the sunset colours and volume fading together.
Bright sunrise to wake you naturally
Bodyclock Shine 300 wakes you naturally at the alarm time when the light is at its brightest.
Set a 15-90 minute sunrise and your preferred final light intensity and wake to a warm glow or a bright, sunny room.
Choose one of the wake sounds or radio if you'd like an extra alarm though many people find they wake naturally with the light alone.
Feel refreshed and properly awake
Studies have shown that waking up with gradual light is proven to improve the quality of sleep and awakening.
With Bodyclock Shine 300, you'll wake up brighter and feel ready for the day ahead.

How Bodyclock sleep and wake-up lights work
- Lumie invented the very first wake-up lights in 1993
- British Swimming team use Bodyclock to wake bright and early for training
- Registered with Medical and Healthcare Regulatory Agency (MHRA ref: CA007025)
Lumie has been designing and developing light therapy products in Cambridge, UK for over 25 years.
Lumie lights treat Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) and winter blues, boost mood and energy levels and improve sleep.
Feel awake during the day
Instead of being jolted from sleep by an alarm, Bodyclock Shine 300 wakes you gradually and more effectively with brightening light. By the time you open your eyes, you're properly awake, alert and feeling ready for the day ahead.
Waking like this re-sets the internal clock that controls daily wake/sleep rhythm and has been shown to boost mood, productivity and energy levels.
Ready for sleep at night
The right light can also prepare your body for sleep. All Bodyclock have a fading sunset to promote production of melatonin and help you to unwind naturally.
Recommended for SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) and winter blues sufferers and anyone who would like to wake up brighter.

Some people have mentioned the instructions are difficult to follow. I set mine up during the day when I was fresh and managed ok. I especially like that I can have different alarm times for different days. Once it's set up you don't have to worry about setting different times. There's also an option for just having a daily alarm.
If you struggle in the dark mornings this is defintely worth buying.
It's more complicated to set up than before the sound quality of the FM radio is truly dire.
The light functionality is OK, as is the nightlight - but really, at this price I'd rather just have the light sections themselves and have an alarm sync with my phone or other smart device as this just feels old technologically.
Would not recommend.
I paid £100 for it as I really couldn’t bring myself to pay £200 for the 750D model.
Aside from the missing features that are advertised on amazon the clock/radio itself is really nice.
I was able to set it up without looking at the instructions (although I did read through them afterward to see if I could locate the USB or Bluetooth feature). The radio tuned with no issues: the sound is a little crackly but a reposition solved that.
First night sleeping with the sunset feature gave a pleasant yellow light decaying to red over 90minutes: with shorter time options being avalible as well.
This morning I had the sunrise feature activate over 90minutes. It seemed a very pleasant way to be woken up with the radio kicking in at the designated time.
Overall I’m impressed with the quality of the device with a little disappointment at the missing features. However I can’t warrant the money for the higher model.
