Using Bodyclock Luxe 750D
Low-blue light for bedtime
Light at the start of the day is the most effective way to reset your internal clock and this is the science behind Bodyclock.
It's a different story at bedtime, when alerting light is the last thing you need so Bodyclock Luxe 750D lets you switch to low-blue light. This provides ample warm, white light without over-stimulating your brain, helping you to fall asleep easily.
Fading sunset to help you relax
Wind down with a 15-90 minute sunset. Fading light is a signal for the body to produce melatonin ready for sleep so the sunset makes you naturally drowsy.
You could add a soothing sleep sound, listen to DAB radio or play your own music via Bluetooth or USB.
Combine audio and sunset settings to drift off to sleep with the sunset colours and volume fading together.
Gradual sunrise to wake you naturally
Bodyclock Luxe 750D wakes you naturally at the alarm time when the light is at its brightest. Set a 15-90 minute sunrise and your preferred final light intensity and wake to a warm glow or a bright, sunny room.
Choose one of the wake sounds or DAB station if you'd like an extra alarm though many people find they wake naturally with the light alone.
Feel refreshed and properly awake
Studies have shown that waking up with gradual light is proven to improve the quality of sleep and awakening.
Use the Bodyclock Luxe 750D sunrise all year round to anchor your internal clock to your wake-up time, helping you to feel more energised and productive during the day and ready for sleep at night.

How Bodyclock sleep and wake-up lights work
- Lumie invented the very first wake-up lights in 1993
- British Swimming team use Bodyclock to wake bright and early for training
- Registered with Medical and Healthcare Regulatory Agency (MHRA ref: CA007025)
Lumie has been designing and developing light therapy products in Cambridge, UK for over 25 years.
Lumie lights treat Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) and winter blues, boost mood and energy levels and improve sleep.
Feel awake during the day
Instead of being jolted from sleep by an alarm, Bodyclock Luxe 750D wakes you gradually and more effectively with brightening light. By the time you open your eyes, you're properly awake, alert and feeling ready for the day ahead.
Waking like this re-sets the internal clock that controls daily wake/sleep rhythm and has been shown to boost mood, productivity and energy levels.
Ready for sleep at night
The right light can also prepare your body for sleep. All Bodyclock have a fading sunset to promote production of melatonin and help you to unwind naturally.
An additional Bodyclock Luxe 750D feature eliminates almost all blue light at bedtime, reducing unnecessary stimulation so you fall asleep easily.
Recommended for SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) and winter blues sufferers and anyone who would like to wake up brighter.

I received it promptly from Amazon; the product is made to high standards with a glass globe, the buttons and controls feel very nice and offer many functionalities and ease of use. The instructions were straight forward any very easy to follow for a product with so many features. You have the option of switching from blue light to low blue light in the evening to help you to sleep. This looks like a unique feature in these types of products.
The are many audio features to choose from with many high-quality sounds with some quirky ones. The bluetooth feature is seamless, it allows you to play your own playlists through the high quality speakers. The DAB radio is fantastic and gives excellent reception for many channels.
I have been using the sunrise and sunset features as well, they both offer variable timings to choose from and different light levels. The light in the display can be manually adjusted to completely off or adjusted to a level one likes unlike other products where the display stays on.
I have not used the presets yet for the USB but this feature allows to save favourite pieces of music on a USB key and save them to the presets. You can also charge your phone.
I would highly recommend Luxe.
The actual light itself is excellent BUT the controls are frustratingly complicated and fiddly.
Not at all intuitive and certainly requires you to get down on your knees to view the minute display items. There isn't a one button override to switch the radio on if you happen to wake up with the light before the set time.
Worst of all the display light is far too bright even at minimum setting it bathes the room in a faint blue light (which I believe is the one wavelength that the eye can pick up at low intensity. So have to have it off completely so I am getting used to not knowing what time I got out of bed for my night time wee!
Fucntuoality is terrible. Can't set a "week day" alarm, only daily or weekly. For 2018 it's very clumsy to use and dated. For this price the device should link to a mobile phone where you could have full and easy control. I must say the actual sunrise function, when you get it to work, is good and it is a nice gentle start to the day, but there are £30 alternatives. I bought this because I thought it would be premium. Its not. Its a rip off.
The ‘problem’ about the very small multi function buttons (the reason it’s only reason why it’s 4 stars) yes they’re small but once you get to know which one to push in which sequence it is possible for the user to set up the way they need and leave the other functions until they’re more awake. So they’re not as bad as they could be but they are a fath
Other users complain about the DAB radio performance, yes the receiver is a little deaf but if found that once you’ve plugged in a external source cable and a cable for charging your phone or whatever, it does improve the reception but it is still very prone to ‘body capacitance’ effect so its a case of tuning in then going to the place where you’re normally going to be and see how it performs then seeing how it performs then tweak (move the cables) if needed.
Bluetooth connection is good, if low volume, and aggressively connects to whichever device it is set up for when within range, unlike some where you have to manually connect every time.
Light is reasonable, if your remember the button push, is easily adjusted. Can’t state anything about how it’s helping me with SAD or the like as it’s the wrong time of year but it is as good as the Pure Twilight which it is replacing (because the DAB radio did go faulty)
Alarm, it’s an alarm, easy to use with either a daily or weekly settings, if you can get around the button pushing.
So all in all I’m happy with this product, but I have to button through various differing menus at work so am not averse to push a button just to see what happens. For those who aren’t used to multiple button pushing then I would suggest some other product, but I couldn’t find anything which had the connectivity.
On the positive side, the sunrise and sunset works well, the light is great, the quality of the radio is good and overall its a quality DAB radio / alarm clock. I have kept mine as I worked out how to use it and as noted, its features are great but I would not buy this as a present or recommend to anyone unless they are technical and patient.
and the light on full intensity and go to sleep to the sound of waves hitting the shore as the light gradually fades.
Buttons took a little getting used to but fine now.
